Best food, time in town, amazing staff.

It was raining and we were hungry, we didn't have reservations, but, they made room for us. The staff couldn't be nicer, very attentive. One of the best wine lists in towm, great sommelier. We shared a bottle of Nebiolo, it was very good. The food was excellent, I have food allergies, and the waiter made sure they prepare, from the main menu, a meal specially for me. I had the Tuna, one of the appys of the day, so fresh, the best, my entree, the Bass Alison, with 3 sauces, tasted amazing, my husband had the Baked Clams appy, delicious, and the Ribeye Diana, he loved it, the Potatoes Louie were so tasty, for the finale we shared the Nutella Tiramisu, so yummy. I had read the rave reviews about this place, I'm so glad we were able to experience it for ourselves, and again, I thank the Host for making room for us, I undesrtand it's not easy to get reservations at the last minute at this restaurant. We will be back again, I want to try the Ceasar salad, our neighbours were raving about it, as well as other great dishes they make.

    Not recommended

Lobster at $85 was watery and resteamed with no taste. Veal chop Marsala was in a very heavy sauce that needed to be cooked off. vegetables were very well done and soft. All the food presentation was disappointing and unappealing. The Vongole was swimming in oil with an unappetizing brown sauce. Besides the food being unacceptable we had to wait 45 minutes with a reservation and never were approached with any sort of apology. To top it off we were overcharged... Find another restaurant , this one is a huge waste of money

    Great Restaurant

This was our second visit to Carbone. The food is devine. Caesar Salad was excellent. Tortellini Ragu was superb. Veal Scallopini was fabulous. Just the best restaurant. Really enjoyed it. Atmosphere good. Music wonderful. Service very good too.

Outstanding in a simple kinda way!

Expensive? Yes! Service (kudos to louie) and ambience and food? Outstanding! Descriptions of dishes on the menu don't do any of it any justice! What happy surprises! A real treat from beginning to end! Its immediate popular is very well deserved!

Old School meets New School Updates

Do you like to sing Volare or Mambo Italiano while you eat? This spot is for you. The Torrisi Brothers bring one of their best creations to the old Rocco's. Grandma bread, carved in house proscuitto, gardenia- great short ribs w/cherry peppers, creamed escarole is genius, Ceasar salad mixed tableside.
