Pros: Nice atmosphere, although the music was a little loud. Appropriately priced. Food was fine but nothing special (the pasta was a bit too firm and I like al dente!...it wouldn't come close to twirling around my fork). No raves, just okay. Con: Service - seemed completely disinterested in us. And it was not a busy night, so they had plenty of time to pay us a bit of attention. Had to get the server's eye to even come back to take our order - we sat for about 15 minutes waiting with our menus on our laps.

Friday evening my wife and I walked up 9th before our show and came across Cara Mia. Dressed in our best we were seated at a cozy table for 2 and "everything" was absolutely perfect. Our waiter/s attended to our every need, and recommended our dinner and wine. Delicious! A romantic shared dessert was further topped with complimentary "dessert wine?" Try the Insulata Di Pera before dinner. Thank you for the perfect evening! (Dining date Sept. 11/09)

I've been there 3 times and each time has been as good, i really love it! The eggplant is amazing. Each time i was with different groups so i've tried many dishes and loved them all. Had nice wine at nice price which is always a bonus! I would definatley go back!

I used to order from Cara Mia at least once a week. About 2 months ago, their delivery really started to suck. My pasta w/pink sauce was short on sauce and taste. It was as if someone had poured water over the whole thing. Thinking it was a fluke, I ordered from them again: same deal. That was the end for me. My boyfriend takes one for the team every now and again to see if they're back, but no luck so far.

It was a Monday night, so perhaps the first-line chef was not in. But the salads (pear with arugula & gorgonzola, and arttichoke with avocado & roasted peppers) were bland. And the entrees (gnocchi w/tomato and basil and rigatoni a la putanesca) were quite salty. The waiter was very nice, the atmosphere was pleasant even if the space was rather tight and I would try them again. But if the food were as disappointing a second time, I would go elsewhere after that.

We were able to get a Friday night reservation here after calling other places and finding they were all booked. Arrived an hour early and was seated immediately as the place was empty. We were a little doubtful about eating here although the wait staff was extremely friendly and there was a nice atmosphere.We were waited on promptly and the food was served quickly. The pear salad was so good ,our friends ordered one for themselves.We all had a different pasta dish - hard to decide which one was best as we sampled each others and they were all excellent. The room was now packed and people were waiting for tables. Our dessert and coffee( creme brule and chocolate mousse cake ) was great. We left raving to each other about our meal and would definitely go back again and recommend it to friends.

Couldn't ask for much more when it comes to delivery. the food was great - got the roasted calamari and wild mushroom appetizer (outstanding) and the sliced sirloin entree (very good). the strawberries and whipped cream were simple and fresh. food came in 30 minutes.
