    A Gem

Went here for my girlfriends birthday dinner based on the recommendations here. We were not disappointed, Capri Cafe might be small and casual looking but their food is excellent and their staff is a pleasure to deal with. High points for us were the excellent quality ingredients (Mozzerella, Tomatos, greens) used in all our dishes and a very good Sicillian wine we decided on. Low points: We had the misfortune of coming just after a very large party and had very little room to eat. The staff was kind enough to set us up an additional table but we were stuck with rather uncomfortable folding chairs. Not really the Cafe's fault, but something to keep in mind. It gets very crowded at times. Our first server (not the co owner) could offer very little information on the wines available. We ended up choosing blindly and while we liked the wine and were not upset at the cost (~$40) we could easily have been less fortunate. Overall I would highly recommend this establishment. The food was some of the best I have had with great flavors and excellent ingredients. The location is cute and charming and the staff a pleasure to deal with.

    My favorite little place

I just love this restaurant so much I go weekly. I have tried almost everything on the menu, which is great, but I am addicted to their veal ravioli. Their tomato sauce is simple but they make it so perfectly it is a work of art. Not only is their menu great and their prices extremely affordable but the daily specials are amazing. I recommend you try the white chocolate mousse with strawberry sauce. It is so refreshing and tasty it is the best after dinner taste you could ask for. The only warning I have is that it is not the speediest service. Thus, go with some time and not in a rush. But if you are in a rush you can just call in and do take out! You will not regret trying this place, it is a jewel.

    great place

the food here is totally authentic. absolutely delicious. only complaint is that it is a small space, so i've often had to wait and delivery can take a long time. food is definetly worth these minor inconveniences.

    Mmmmmm

Cute little restaurant, definitely a great addition to the neighborhood. They've done a lot with the space and it feels homey inside. The food was very flavorful and much better than expected.

    Delightful!

After reading about this place in New York magazine's Cheap Eats edition, I decided to give it a try. I couldn't even finish my plate of tagliatelle there was so much! And cheap! Only $10. The restaurant itself is quaint with only a few tables squeezed together, but that just adds to the charm. I'll definitely be back. There are a few other pastas on the menu I'd like to try.

    Authentic Italian

I would have never stopped in this rather small resturant if it wasn't on a friend's suggestion. The food is absolutely amazing! The pasta is al denta and cooked to perfection. The owner is friendly and actually from Capri. They regularly make fresh mozzerella which is to die for. I have never had a bad meal since the first time I tried it (been there about 20 times since). I usually take out, but they set up the tables with candles at night for those who dine in. It's very romantic. They don't have a liquor license, so if you're going to dine in, be sure to bring your own. The pricing is great also. I eat at some top Italian resturants for work and I always feel like I'm getting ripped off now. The food is never as good as at Capri Cafe and the prices are double.

    Fresh and Tasty

I have eaten here more than 10 times and the food is always fresh and very good. A great bargain for the area. The daily soups are amazing. If they have the blue crab ravioli, order it! everything tastes homemade and the owners are lovely.
