Good - and slow
Food was great - try the duck burrito for a twist, with a better-than-most mole sauce. Service was near-catastrophically slow on a recent Friday night, though. Not only did we wait almost half an hour for entrees to come out, but once they did, our previously absent servers were suddenly all up in our grill. Should be trained not to interrupt conversations (multiple times). However, on net, worth going for the grub.

Great Southwestern!
I was pleasantly surprised with our meal last night. Service was a little slow bringing drinks to the table, but thankfully there were chips to munch on. I ordered a margarita made with Cointreau, fresh lime juice, and Patron silver. Delicious and worth the wait! Strong, and a perfect balance of tartness and sweetness. My boyfriend and I split the Huarache Con Pollo appetizer: very fresh-tasting featuring a nice blend of Southwestern flavors. Warning: entree-sized for one person. For our entrees, I ordered the Pollo Borracho, and he ordered the Carne Tampiquena. We were both happy to find there was minimal cheese used in all the dishes (which I think is typical in many Mexican restaurants - covers up bad flavor!). The hanger steak was a great cut; incredibly juicy and flavorful, cooked to a perfect medium-rare. The chicken was excellent; medium-spicy and an interesting, smoke-infused sauce with white wine and vegetables. Fresh rice and beans (not canned, refried slop). Overall, a surprisingly great meal, pleasant service, and fresh, light and healthy ingredients. Will certainly return!

Slowest delivery ever
Called to follow up on my order and learned the delivery guy left with 3 other orders...they can only afford one delivery man? Food is good. Recommend going in for happy hour.

The Worst Possible Service
The food is good although the menu doesn;t change and we're a bit tired of it. Everyone's right about the duck burrito, it's good, but not a sophisticated dish in any way. Th eservice is horrible. You're consistantly ignored and can't find a server for anything ever, and you'll need to because they forget to bring you things and then your meal is not enjoyable. This is a huge problem at Canyon Road. I think the servers just don't care. I've never seen anything like it. Don't take a table that's waited on by a slim middle aged guy who wears black pants. You'll doubly regret it.

Canyon Road is a gem
Canyon Road is a great place. I always feel welcome and the service has been great everytime I've gone. You must try the duck burrito and the peanut shrimp. yummmmmmmmmmmmm. I also really enjoy the margaritas.

Poor Service
Quite possibly the worst service in Manhattan. The food is good, atmosphere is nice however for the price of the food, the service is awful. Our server forgot an entree and wasn't ever around to ask. I had to get up and walk to the host station to let him know and finally was able to get the server over to the table - 15 min after the rest of us were served. The server also forgot our drinks and was just all around a mess. Will definitely not go back there again. Too many other restaurants in the city.
