Best dumplings. Great service. Fresh asian food that isn't deep fried. Fast delivery. Beautiful location to boot.

I was a pretty big Canteen supporter before their closing a little while ago. They weren't running a very profitable gig though--w/o delivery and a liquor license--which was most likely their reason for shutting down. Now they've reopened with functioning delivery and alcohol service and I could not be more ecstatic. I ordered in from a few blocks, and, despite snowy conditions, the transaction was just as smooth and precise as a pass from Eli Manning to Victor Cruz. I ate those chicken dumplings smiling the whole way through as the thoughtfully crafted ambrosia gave my palette an orgasm. I intend on eating at this place as much as possible, and so should you. P.S. Sorry for being really cheesy. P.P.S. I'm not actually sorry.

Have had delivery twice and just ate at Canteen 82. My husband and I each had an appetizer and a main course and he had desert. The bill was $40. The food was delicious, service excellent and except for a few other diners , it was empty. This is a great neighborhood Asian restaurant. I hope it stays around this time!

The Pan Asian cuisine was prepared perfectly. The quality, seasoning, and freshness was super. This is a spacious and contemporary setting with excellent service. The Chimay beer at $5.00 a bottle is a steal! I highly recommend.

I don't know how this was in it's earlier incarnation, but I met my friends there last night - they've been before and recommended it - and I had a very good experience. The soup dumplings were very tasty, as was the crispy chicken and shrimp. They used amazingly large shrimp too! Service was fine - nothing too special but they did get us to the movies on time. I will go again.

We just had delivery from Canteen 82. In restaurant reviews seem to have been positive, and I sort of liked them from their first incantation, but this was pretty poor. The delivery time, on a Thursday, was nearly an hour and they gave me someone else's credit card receipt. Not a great way to start. The food was not inedible, but it certainly wasn't very good and in no way worth a premium price over much less expensive Asian restaurants. For the record, we had the big bowl soup which had 4 shrimps, sticky noodles and a few mushroom slices. Chicken with Broccoli, a staple of the young set, was edible but not as good as many other local places. The sesame chicken was not good. The only good thing was the soup dumplings, which didn't make up for the price tag, the slow delivery and the otherwise lackluster food. I wish I had enjoyed this meal more.
