Candle 79 does it all. The best food -- creative, delicious meals that never disappoint. It is one of the best restaurants in New York. You don't have to be a vegetarian to love this food. The atmosphere is casual eloquence. The service is friendly and professional. I have been to Candle 79 many times and the quality of the food and service is consistent.

I went there for my birthday and had to go back again. This is the best vegetarian food I've had in the city (and I've tried a lot). Very classy, good date place, and their mixed drinks are amazing. I had one w/ grapefruit and ginger and for the first time, felt healthy as I was drinking alcohol.

As a vegetarian chef, I feel I can give a fair opinion on the fare at Candle 79. Hands down the best meal I've ever had. Period. A little pricey, but well worth the splurge. Enjoy!

Great atmosphere. Great food. Nothing more to say. A great place to bring vegetarian clients for a business dinner but also not pretentious and great if you just want to hang out. If you have not been, go and try it right now.

The aura and settings are perfect for an east side treat. An older crowd- but anyone that enjoys quality vegan cuisine can delight themselves at candle 79. Jacket or not- the cuisine is a delight to your senses. As macaroni is comfort food- you'll find many here to sooth your soul and stomach. Feeling fresh and alive- they even have a raw dish. Portions are perfect, dessert is great. Candle 70 - how about 70 locations?
