We had a poor overall experience here though our meals were tasty. Went here on a Friday night, yes it was very loud but then the mariachi band played & we had to scream just to try to hear one another. While a mariachi band adds a fun atmosphere to a Mexican restaurant, in such a small restaurant, they should really play shorter sets. They played next to us for what seemed like over an HOUR. Our waiter wrote my order down wrong & tried to blame it on me, saying I said one thing when I didn't! (Maybe working at this loud place has impaired his hearing!) They charged us gratuity - there was only 5 of us! We paid it grudgingly. We closed our bill but sat & talked a while, & later ordered more drinks - the waiter brought out bill, we paid it, then he came back & said he forgot to charge us gratuity. Since when does a restaurant charge gratuity for parties as small as 5?? The hostess & manager were nice & we enjoyed the food (great salsa, fajitas & enchiladas) but that's not enough to get us to return.

Make your way to Cancun for an incredibly awesome menu! Recommend the Tortilla Soup and Quesadilla (both chicken and beef). Home made salsa and warm chips were served continuously. Staff was very attentive, charming and quick. Especially enjoyed the local influence of diners. Cancun seemed to be less traveled by out-of-towners. Gracias for a wonderful dining experience.

Food was great! Margarita's were nicely hooked up. Have been there around 8 times already, and will continue going back.

The place is cool, but extremely loud.

I've been searching for good Mexican food in this city since I got here and now I've finally found it. The food is great and reasonably priced.

My girlfriends and I have come to this restaurant a couple of times. We are always happy with the service and price. The food is very good and not pricey. We all agreed that the margaritas are the best in NYC (Patron on the rocks--JUMBO)! The frozen fruit margaritas are also good and strong. They even have Happy hours until 7pm at the bar. The restaurant was packed and people just kept on coming in. Great for groups or dates. They also started renovating as i noticed the beautiful new tables they have (good conversation piece). Anyway, I definitely recommend this place if you want to have a good time!

I come here all the time and the food is consistently good. And the value is excellent - you would be very hard pressed to find mexican food this good at better prices in NYC! The only drawback - Friday and Saturday nights can get extremely loud! In fact, they have dancing in front of the bar on Saturday night - which is separate from the dining room, but you can still hear it loud and proud! But if you don't mind noisy weekend nights, it's great and you should definitely check it out!
