Amazing food
Canaille is one of my favorite restaurants and the owners, Phillipe and Marie are such lovely welcoming people that I always feel that I am at the home of favorite friends (if my friends cooked like angels!). I've never disappointed with any of the food and the wine recommendations are always perfect. I rarely order off the menu because the specials always sound so delicious...almost as delicious as they taste. But the french onion soup is to die for!

This is the reason we moved to Park Slope!
we discovered this classic french bistro a year ago and have been faithful visitors ever since. the food is alway well crafted, classic and solid fare. never had a anything less than a great meal here, and the specials are always a good choice. the owners Marie and Phillipe are colorful and friendly, knowledgable and always make you feel very welcome. the wine list is great, perfect for the sommalier in you. Must try the champange! of all the french bistro's in New York this one is one of the best. they now take credit cards - major bonus. we love it.

My favorite in Park Slope!
This place is definitely my favorite in Park Slope. The food is delicious and the owners are just lovely. The menu is small but complete and all dishes are very well cooked. They have very good wines for reasonable prices and you can trust their advice.

Outstanding Neighborhood Bistro!
My spouse and I have been eating at this small but well-run restaurant for more than a year now. Splendid new wines -- at amazingly affordable prices -- keep on appearing. The not huge but consistently interesting menu changes seasonally; all year, they serve very high-quality market product, perfectly prepared. Try the endive salad, the smoked salmon, the mussels, the steak frites, the sole, or the generous, wide-ranging cheese plate, which I think is finer and more original than those at restaurants costing twice as much. (A little bonus: nice picks for background music, ranging from Charles Aznavour to French Country Western -- yes, there is such a thing.)

One our favorite local spots
My wife and I love this place. We've eaten here four times now, and have been thrilled by each visit. Go for a slow, relaxed, delicious meal, and let them suggest a wine.
