Campanile is a great little place. I've been going there for several years and it only gets better. The owner and his wife are the most gracious hosts and the food as well as service are always top notch. From a simple dish like veal parm to halibut Veronique or Dover sole, they never miss the mark. I've dined there with family, friends and business associates and everyone has always wondered why Campanlie is not more well known. It's that good and deserves to be more recognized for all its attributes -- hospitality, service, food, cleanliness and comfort. Make sure to check it out and you will be pleasantly surprised!!

I was on vacation recently in New York and my hotel was located near the restaurant. I looked at the menu, without having heard anything beforehand about this restaurant, and I decided to go in. What an amazing surprise!! Since I was alone, I had dinner at the bar. The restaurant is nicely decorated and, most important, really clean. The owner is behind the bar and he is the key to the success of this restaurant. He takes great care of his customers and I think it is the reason why people go back to this restaurant. I had the veal pizzaiola and it was really good. You can bet that I'm going back to this place the next time I'm in the city!

Just happened to pass by Campanile while walking with a young visitor from Italy. It was lunch time; we were hungry and the restaurant had an attractive facade. Decided to try it. As others have said - what a find and why haven't we heard about this place. I thought it was new, but the very pleasant owner advised that they have been there for years. Food was excellent - soups, pastas and veal dishes sampled - all excellently prepared. Although my young Italian friend loves all things American including hamburgers, he was extremely happy to be experiencing this first rate Italian cuisine. Service very efficient and friendly - and plenty of room between tables in this very attactive and comfortable spot.

If you like great chicken parm you have to go to campanile restaurant. They have by far the best chicken parm in the new york city area. Every time I go there my mouths waters for it. Campanile also offers a great setting for a nice nite out with friends, family, or even a great place to have business meetings or party... the owner is also great to the people. He likes to make sure that people are happy with food and the service. From now on when people ask me for great italian food I will telll them about campanile.

There is really something special about this restaurant. I am from out of town and I was looking for a nice place to eat and came across Campanile Restaurant. There is something about this restaurant but I never felt so comfortable and relaxed before. They serve cheese, salami, and olives when you first sit down so I relaxed over a glass of delicious wine. Then I ordered. The food is just fabulous. The waiters were very very good. The owner very hospitable. This restaurant is the cleanist that I have visited. I loved it and will definitely come back when I come to town.

We just happened to pass and Campanile. We were hungry, so we looked in the window and the atmosphere is just what we love. The owner welcomed us in and he was so gracious. You can see that this owner just does not sit around, he works hard. The food was so good in fact it was the best meal that we had had in NY. The waiters were great. There is no complaints about this restaurant. It was so clean, most of all the bathrooms were spotless. This restaurant is the best kept secret in town. I really do not know why this restaurant is not in Zagat, it sure belongs in there.

I was stuck in a sudden downpour outside this restaurant and the owner saw me and another woman huddled under his awning trying to stay dry. He invited us inside and made us very comfortable, even treating us to soft drinks until the storm passed. What hospitality! Clearly such generous-heartedness, combined with an excellent menu and nice ambiance, is worth coming back for.
