Unreal food. Probably the best restaurant from a food standpoint I've ever been to. It's pricey, but worth it. A must visit.

I went to this place on a date and it was absolutely amazing. The food was authentic Italian and every bite was better then the next. I ordered the fish pecial and thought it was fresh and extremely tasteful. I will def go back again and again.

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little nervous about going here for dinner but in the end, I'm extremely happy with the outcome. My boyfriend and I went there Thursday night and everything was excellent - from the moment we walked in until the minute we walked out - the wait staff was courteous, accomodating and extremely professional. I think I had the best seafood ever here - nothing was chewy or "fishy". The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The bill was very reasonable too for all that we had. I will definitely be recommending Campagnola to my friends and family and look forward to going back!

I constantly eat out at different Italian restaurants in NYC. This was possibly the worst food I've had. The staff was extremely nice, but the food was way below average. Definitely not worth the price. I don't understand the hype that surrounds this place. I've gotten better meals for half the price. Bottom line, not good.

Went here for NYE's w/ the hubby. He ordered sea bass which was fishy. We were both surprised that the fish tasted off considering the reputation of the restaurant. I had a pasta which was fine but I certainly expected more from this place. Would not go here again. Overrated.

Best Italian restaurant I've ever been to, bar none! It is expensive, so you need to be rich, but luckily I am. Enjoy!

Went here for my birthday on the strength of the reviews and we were underwhelmed. For the prices the food was nothing special; not bad, but certainly not what I would expect based on the cost. It's a strange scene--going here is like stepping back in time to the 1950's (everyone knows the maitre d', super Italian). You feel a little out of place not being a regular. We also felt out of place ordering just $25 pastas and a $50 bottle of wine; everyone else was having full multi-course meals. I'm sure we were by far their cheapest table of the night. Overall, though it was an interesting place, the food was just not worth it. I can't understand the rave reviews on here. (And I've lived in Italy and definitely do not think the food measures up to that in Italy, as another reviewer said.)
