Hot Antipasto for table not enough. Salad too much dressing. Calmari Fritti oily & quite chewy .not enough dipping sauce. Linguini with clam sauce bland. Penne with Vodka Sauce- over cooked. T-bone for two raw asked for medium rare sent back came back well done and burnt. (only thing we sent back) Rack of lamb fatty but very tasty. Chicken scarp was the best. All the veal dishes(chops) very fatty and tough couldn't cut it. Vegetables over cooked. Service extremly slow. One main dish wasn't served until 15 minutes after all the other main courses. The waiter kept apoligizing and kept saying not my fault it's the kitchen. No one came over to even offer a free cup of coffee. When we finally complained the head waiter said sorry there are off nights. We were quite surprised since one of our eight was a regular. Happy I wasn't the one who recommended this one. For these prices we expected to get better service and much better food. I will never listen to Hype again

went to this restaurant with 5 other people this past Saturday night for a birthday celebration. From the minute we sat down the waiter rushed our ordering. We barely were able to take a breath before each course was served. We all agreed that we had better Italian food at restaurants that were a third the price. Not one person at the table found the quality of the meal to be any thing but mediocre. Without us asking desert was brought to the table for the birthday girl. The surprise was the charge for this small desert tray- $120. This restaurant is very over rated, and definitely not worth the money!

We were 6 people for my wifes birthday. If you reserve the 7:00 seating, you are sped through by a specialist who knows how to get you done in time for the next seating and you feel it. We brought our friends here because I remembered the food being quite exceptional the 1st time we were here, which was a weekday. But this Saturday evening was somewhat ordinary although the prices were not. Don't let the waiters order for you, because they will bring out everything including the kitchen sink..and I found the Dover Sole to be quite less than ordinary. The 1st time I was there I had the Tbone and it was exceptional, but this time a bit tough. I approached the waiter to tell him it was my wifes birthday thinking that when we ordered desert, he would bring hers with a candle, but much to my chagrin, he brought out the 'Viennese' table with a candle on it, my wife blew out the candle and we were stuck with a $120 dessert. They didnt even take our coffee order until we asked them to after the dessert came, and probably did this to avoid a small dessert order. If you go there, bring alot of money and don't let them control your menu unless you can eat your weight in food. Bon Appetite and good luck.

awesome food, yes pricey, but if you know italian food, you know it is hard to find a good restaurant. Good atmosphere, always some goomba to look at, and Susan Lucci was there too!

I had dinner with my girlfriend and her parents. The attitude at the host stand was ridiculos, making me feel like I was doing them a favor just to request a table. I had heard that if you are not a regular that you are treated very poorly....it was true. They sat people with no reservation ahead of us leaving as the only people at the bar for over 30 minutes on a Sunday night. When we placed the order the waiter said nothing about being out of anything. We waited 30 minutes for our entrees and than the waiter approach the table, I thought to say the food would be right out but instead said the kitchen had run out of one of our entrees. So the mgr comes over, I thought to apologize but instead says he needs to move our table over, where he grabs my girlfirneds chair and physically pulls her back 2 feet away from the table and than proceeds to do the same to the rest of us and the table. The $45.00 Campagnola Veal Chop was small and only had 2 small strips of peppers and a load of sauteed onions. No other sides ,nothing....what a rip-off. My older established friends (60 & 70 year olds) like this place because they are treated well because they are regulars. This place has no idea how to treat a walk in customer. It was over priced and not worth the money spent on the food. Only 2 choices of red wine by the glass as well. This place needs a make over worse than Britney Spears. Places like this are dinosaurs that only become extinct when the people eating there realize that the prince is wearing no clothes!

average food, overpriced. wait staff was extremely friendly and funny, but still doesnt make up for the overpriced food.

It is now just too expensive for what you get. Went last night for Fathers Day. Waiter was a complete wise-guy loud mouth, not campy just annoying. Didn't come around much either, even when our food was sitting on a tray next to the table getting cold. However, the food in general is still darn good. The chicken Campagnola and Veal Marsala & Saltimboca are all excellent. The baked seafood was a sad showing though - there were no clams in the house (fine, they ran out) but there was nothing supplemented in their place. A tiny plate with one shrimp, one scallop and a handfull of small calimari for $20? Not right. By the time we were done the bill was quite hefty and we felt a bit cheated by some of the dishes and the lousy service. Used to be our family's fav, not anymore..
