Hot Tamale
Great food, service, and atmosphere. I have no issues with this bright, open, colorfully space. Enjoy!

Not recommended
The appetizers were bland. We had the tuna ceviche and the camarones. My paella was not good at all and too salty. I wouldn't recommend this place. It is terrible value for the money.

I dug it the most
Latin is muy caliente and not about to fizzle out. The caipirinha is as good as any I had in Punta and the cuban streak absolutely mouthwatering. The bread and bean spread was simply incredible. Service was most attentive and casually fun. We asked to move our first seating and was accommodated without "the attitude." Having just come from Lincoln Center and the New York Philharmonic the contrast in music was fabulous. Go to this restaurant, just trust me.

A great date restaurant
This is a great restaurant to go to with friends or on a date. The ambiance is fun and exciting. The crowd is pleasant and everyone looks to be in their 30's. I saw that some people in other reviews complained about the music. I say to them: "Get a life!" The music is great. The food is inventive. The service is good when they make it over to you but they seem distracted. We had four different waiters in one meal - but they were very kind and helpful. My husband and I ran into two friends at the bar...it was nice to run into people we like there. The couple at the table next to us couldn't finish their huge picture of sangria so they shared it with us. The decor is beautiful. All in all, you should go, try it and enjoy!

Fun but Toasty
Really loved the open festive atmosphere, but unlike the previous reviewer who stated it was cold in the bar, it was down right toasty in the large dining area. The vegetarian dish and Jamaican chicken entrees received a 'thumbs up' from my fellow diners. The employees were all very cordial, but because it was a busy Saturday night, flagging down our check was the biggest challenge.

Turn up the heat, turn down the music
Met up for drinks with friends I hadn't seen in 2 years who recommended it. We had seats (an awkward, long, bench-like seat for 3 people) next to the window, and it was SO COLD. We were there for two drinks and had to leave. It wasn't hard to bundle up because we all had to put on our coats halfway through the first drink. I told the hostess that we couldn't take the cold anymore and she said "Oh, I thought it was just cold near the door." Nope. The whole bar area was freezing. Service was poor. We sat there for 10-15 mins before anyone came over to take our drink order, and we had to flag him down to get a second round. The mojitos were EXTREMELY sweet, and not a deal considering the glasses are small and filled with ice and other drink-related foliage. The worst part was the music - I agree with the other reviewer that complained about how loud it was. I found myself nodding and smiling a bunch of times when speaking to my friend 8" away because I got so tired of saying "what?" "what?" Not recommended.

Mojito Magic
I was so excited about dinner after reading the Restaurant Week review below that I had to arrive early. The front bar area is very cool and the drinks are fantastic. We were seated in the surprisingly large dinning area in the back. The RW menu is a great deal, I had the rock shrimp and the halibut, which were MUY BUENO! All of the desserts were fantastic. But I have to say, the highlight of the night were the fantastic drinks. Nothing like good food, great drinks, and wonderful company.
