I hate when I see people wasting their money on places like this. I went once with friends who like it and it was just bad. We waited with 1,000 tourists for a table for about 30 minutes. The pizza was completely flavorless. If you want good pizza, skip places like this and go to the joint with the line around the block for a $2 slice and a soda. Much better and no mall atmosphere.

Ate here with my family tonight. I've NEVER left a pizzeria hungry before..until today. New York has enough fantastic pizza places. Stay away and go to Johns, Patsys, Lombardis, Rays etc.

I have loved CPK for a long time and was very excited when the downtown location opened. Food's always great (the pastas, salads, most of the appetizers, I love it all) but the first few times I've eaten there the service was not good. Waiters r always took a long time to service the table and were not friendly at all. One was constantly frowning. I've been again recently and the service has improved a lot!

Went here Sunday after a movie & was looking for a place to have dinner. Usually I patron another restaurant on the Park Ave strip, but this was close and it was cold outside. Had a 10-15 minute wait for a table, which was not bad. We were seated and it took another 10-15 minutes for the waiter to take our order. While waiting, I noticed other patrons looking around to see if other tables got served. At this point I knew we were in bad shape. The waiter did not come over and tell us anything about how long it will be until the food arrived. I gave him a look and he said he will check. He never updated us. The food finally arrived 45-50 minutes after we were seated. The Margherita Pizza was over cooked & the chicken dumplings seemed like they were rushed. Our waiter never checked on how everything was and just kept on apologizing for the wait. Apparently they are not busy on Sunday, so it was a shock. The wait staff was limited and so was the kitchen staff. Needless to say I will not be going back. I should have stuck to my usual spot on Park Ave. I was very surprised because I have been to other CPK's and have not had this experience.

Really liked that place when it first opened (I was the first reviewer below), but it has gotten significantly worse in almost all aspects. The service at CPK has worsened so much that my friends and I walked out this past Sunday. We were quickly seated, but not a single waiter/waitress came to our table for 20 minutes. There were many open tables and not a single waiter seemed to be overburdened or rushing. We exchanged several prolonged glances (it was almost awkward) with several of the wait staff and even called out to them, each time being completely ignored. We thought we were on a hidden camera show as it was ridiculous at first, but when a waiter then served two tables that got seated 15 minutes after us, we got up and left.

First of all, a few weeks back they delivered to me. Then I called back to get another delivery (since the pizza was okay) and they told me that they can't deliver on the weekends, okay....so I call for a delivery later that week (midweek) and after I order they tell me that there is a $25.00 delivery minimum and a $5.00 delivery charge (and I live 4 blocks away).
