Caliente Cab Co

My wife and I have lived in Murray Hill for 8 years together and have eaten at Caliente cab on several occasions and have enjoyed their pretty decent food at a modest price. Recently we decided to try their delivery service and were extremely dissapointed, to the point that we couldnt even place our order! We were placed on hold for 8 minutes, then tried to call back for the next 20 minutes, with nobody answering the call. Perhaps their Mgt can read this, look into the reason as to why this occured and address it properly. I would think Caliente is predominantly a dine in spot and highly doubt that their delivery schedule was that overwhelming at the time of our order. Its almost as if they were intentionally not picking up because they were too busy with their in-house crowd. Don't advertise for delivery if you aren't able to accomodate the customer or at least proactively call them back to apologize!

The food was really good, not overseasoned like some Mexican restaurants, it was just right. especially loved their fried ice cream.

This is definitely one of my favorite restuarants the food is great and served quicly there salads have great flavor and are very filling. The drinks are better than the ones at the bars surrounding it and they have all day drink specials when you sit at the bar. During after work hours especially in the summer it can get really busy love sitting in their outside seating area on a hot day and sip their frozen drinks. It can get a little loud in there since it is surrounded by a bunch of bars and thurs-sun they have a DJ come in so it is definitely very lively in there. Great place to grab some good food and drinks highly recommended! Wish I could say the same for their 7th ave location the service is awful and the menu isn't the same, trust me definitely worth the trip to 3rd avenue.

Came here a few years ago and swore not to return because of how disappointing it was. Well I did return and remembered why I hadn't come back in years. It is not good. Mini beef tacos were decent, enchalada's nothing special, and guacamole tasted way too much of lime.

I have been here before, and had come away thinking it was nothing great - at that time, the food wasn't great, seemed overpriced and the service was nothing to write home about. But it was such a pleasant night, and their outdoor seating seemed inviting so we gave it another shot. I am glad we did! They have a new Specials menu that we ordered from, and I LOVED it! The mojito was a good size (though a tad expensive), the salsa wasn't chunky but still tasted good, and the service was prompt and efficient. We made a few customizations and they got everything right. We ordered the chocolate dessert, and that was great too. Overall, a very pleasant surprise!

My friends and I decided to visit this spot solely for the outdoor seating. We split a couple appetizers and we could not even finish them! We could have purchased the same appetizers at Food Emporium and re-heated them better ourselves! We finished a bottle of beer each and ran away - never to return again.
