stop being haters because caliente cab is the real deal

honestly, i cant say anything about their food because ive never had it. but seriously, there margaritas are such a great deal. friday night pregame this should be your spot. and the chips they give you are great. they also have heat lamps outside for when it gets cooler. OLAY!

    Never Again!

My friends and I decided to visit this spot solely for the outdoor seating. We split a couple appetizers and we could not even finish them! We could have purchased the same appetizers at Food Emporium and re-heated them better ourselves! We finished a bottle of beer each and ran away - never to return again.

    Awesome

Love Caliente....it is a great place to hang out, especially during warm nights. The fajitas and guacamole are to DIE for!!! Compared to other mexican restaurants in the city...this is much cheaper, and you get more food. The food is also better, and the menu has more options. All of the friends that I have referred love this place.

    they ruined a good thing

There are no more Checker Fuel Pina Coladas, which were made with 151 rum, and really worth the price of the drink. They said they had a problem with the distributor. So now the Pina Coladas taste like slushies, and you have to pay $2.00 extra for a shot of rum, which obviously is not Bacardi anymore. The Warm Fajita Cobb Salad used to be a large tortilla filled with steak, lettuce, avacados, etc. Now it is a small, flat tortilla , about an inch high. But the prices are all still the same. What a disappointment! We have been going there for years, but we will never go back again.

    Why

Congratulations Caliente Cab Co you ruined a good thing. The brunch menu was changed, prices went up, and there is only one drink included in the brunch instead of the 2 which were previously offered. Instead of being a great deal with many options it is just so so because many of the great meals on the brunch menu were removed. We used to go to this brunch quite often and may never go back.

    Cab it!

Don't order a piƱa colada without alcohol cause you'll pay the price as if it had alcohol. According to the manager on Aug 25 @ 4:00pm "cause is coming from the bar". The place is crammed in with too many chairs. You can't pull one chair out without baging into the one right behind it. prices are too high for just tortillas and beans...and you really got to dig in to find anything else besides rice in their dishes. A chicken burrito must have some chicken in it!

    So-so

We weren't impressed by the food at all. It is nice to sit outside (though beware of smokers if, like me, you can't stand their smoke), and 3rd Ave is fairly heavily trafficked by the younger set trolling for bars, so you have a decent atmosphere to the neighborhood. But like a lot of the establishments on this "fraternity row," this place seems more geared to feeding people who have booze on the mind, rather than food. Too many better places to eat in the neighborhood than to waste time on this restaurant. I will say that the servings were in decent portions, and the price wasn't too bad. But even to someone who isn't a "foodie," the food here just isn't worth it.
