Poor service
Tragedy meets tragedy repeatedly. The operational management of this place is the perfect case study of why not to do. The cake is delicious on the rare occassion, hours of waiting and pure aggravation you have to go through to get it. They treat customers horribly and shamefully get away with it because they can. Save yourself the agony and go to Crumbs which also has tasty red velvet cupcakes and the access and service is much better.

No Cake Having Raven
This place is a bit disappointing. They need to have set schedules on their delivery man because EVERYTIME I go there I always get "We ran out of cake" what at 2 in the afternoon? There is no way this place is so popular and can not supply at such a high demand. Just call in advance or you would be very disappointed. But if you are lucky you will enjoy the cake.

Impossible to order a cake
Red Velvet cake great but impossible to get service. Have tried for 2-3 months to get in touch and either no answer or no returning messages. Had looked forward to a red velvet wedding cake but due to terrible management and service, guess that will not happen. Good luck in getting service.

Long line but well worth it!
The red velvet cake is DIVINE. The line can ge tpretty long on a Saturday and the staff isnt always accomodating but I'd chew off my moms finger if it was covered in that cream cheese frosting.

good cake.......bad management
I was desperately in such of a red velvet cake and knew cake man was the spot of choice. If Patti Labelle approved, than why should I argue. The service was surprisingly very good. I ordered the cake in advance and made an initial deposit via credit card. My cake was ready when I arrived and I paid the remaining balance in cash. On a scale of 1-10, the cake is a 7-it does definitely taste better as it age. After, reviewing my credit card statement, they overcharge by $25. I called and ask for a refund and Nigel advised that he was busy but if I could scan my statement. I do not have a scanner and could not provide him with this information. He said he would call back. Two days later, I called back and spoke with a pleasant young lady and she said the credit card machine was broken. She said to call after the holiday. Today I called both numbers and receive no answer. Trying to find someone to remedy this situation has been impossible. Is this cake worth this.....Not.

impossible to reach
I've been trying to order 200 cupcakes for a party for about 2 months. First they were renovating so couldn't take the order. Two weeks ago, they told me to call back after Labor Day. The day after Labor Day the line was busy every time I tried. Today it rang and rang--no answer, no voicemail--and now it's busy again. Good cupcakes, but who's got the time? Cakeman, if you're reading this--pick up the phone!!
