I will miss this place. Why are they putting another "authentic" Japanese place. We already have TOMO... I want thai peanut chicken

Waiters are known to run after you if you don't tip enough. The hot pot and sushi are decent, as is their bubble tea, but not much else is.

Do not order their fruit drinks/shakes - the last ones I ordered on two different occasions tasted rancid. Food is mediocre and overpriced. Not ordering from here anymore. Too bad there are few alternatives in the Morningside Heights area...this place would not survive downtown.

The food and Sake at this place was fantastic but the service was not first rate. It took forever for my friends food to come and since we all waited for all our food to come before we started to eat, my food got cold. We had about three different waiters because they would forget to give us something we ordered, forcing us to get the attention of someone else and waiting another long time before it would come to us. However once we all got our food, the food was really good. The sake was awesome and the prices are very cheap. After having 3 sake bombs plus and entree i only spent $40. Overall i would recommend this place for a night out with friends or intimate dinner for two but i would advise having alot of patience and just going with the flow!

I ordered the regular chirashi and had to wonder how fresh this fish really was...the sashimi would fall apart easily and was overly fishy. Makes me wonder...

I've never seen this place in person, but they always deliver good, fresh and clean-tasting cuisine.

I too have been given a hard time for not leaving "sufficient" tip. Some tip deliverymen 10-15%, others 15-20%. The choice of interval is the prerogative of the customer, not the deliveryman. Poor tippers have bad karma and are sinners against all that is good, but this is a review of the restaurant. To harass a customer for what he/ she feels is an appropriate tip (even when justified) is (*still*) unprofessional and (*still*) poor business. This is especially true if the difference is just fifty cents, as in my case. Phone service is not good and they don't have "poor tip" as an excuse. Food's good. Place looks nice on the inside.
