Best on Mulberry!
Great experience, and true old world Little Italy quality and ambiance. Not "touristy" at all! Fabulous wine, great food, and spectacular and friendly old school service! A real NYC treasure. Can't wait to return!

Skip it!
Usually menu pages is dead on in its reviews but I have to say this restaurant was truly a dissappointment. We had the stuffed artichocke, ziti and meatballs and penne alla vodka. All were below average. The house wine was also terrible.

A great spot with great value!
My out of town guests and I ate at Caffe Sorento for lunch and we can not recommend it enough. The food was unbelievably good and authentic. The three of each had a different bowl of soup and enjoyed them all. The fettucini alfredo and cheese mannicotti were perfect and the cannolis were as good as they were in Rome. A three course lunch for three was only $60. The atmosphere was as Little Italy as you could expect. At one point a large party toasted the Sorento family and broke into "thats amore" in the restaureat. The atmosphere was a little noisy but not obnoxiously so. I will be sure to bring more of my out of town friends to this little spot as well as be returning with my local ones.

Great Service
Four of us stopped in Sunday at noon.Nothing exceptional to look at, but the service and food could not have been better. My wife told the waiter that she was disappointed that eggplant parmesan was not on the menu...not a problem..if you want it we will make it for you. And it was great !! We hear someone say that they had the best ravioli in town so my daughter had to try them...they were great ,too. All four of us enjoyed our meals and the bill (including wine) was under $70.

Head and shoulders above the rest
The best veal medallions in New York, amazing sauces, everything is fresh. If you have a restricted sodium diet, avoid the soups (which are also quite tasty). Affordable wine list, family owned (and they are always present, not absentee). I'm a known curmudgeon who rarely gives a good review, but this place is one of our haunts. Not for tourists, let them eat elsewhere. It can get very, very noisy, but it is the one place in which I have no problems with the noise. Everything else transcends that.

Great Place to Go
This place was very satisfying, good value for the money and attentive staff. They offered at least 5 daily specials that were priced under $10, and we requested a family style salad for the three of us which wasn't on the menu but they were happy to accomodate. I would eat there again.

Visting tourist
Food , price, and service..excellent. We had light lunch which was fantastic. Two ladies sat next to use and had 3 course meal for $15. It was a good looking meal with fresh looking ingredients. My next trip to NYC, Caffe Sorrento is must. The price was right and food the best...
