The pasta was supposed to be home made .. im not sure how homemade tasted like a regular boxed pasta. The "barker" was just so agressive . The prices for this food were ridiculous. i will never return to this place. the service was bad as well, and the ambiance was tacky and over done .

We loved it!
I read all the poor reviews but must say it simply wasn't the case with the 3 of us. I did ask the price of one of the specials and realized they weren't specials because they were cheap, just that they were served this particular weekend. We were there this past Saturday eve and requested to sit ouside as it was mild and beautiful. Sure it was a bit crowded, but the atmosphere outside was wonderful as we were part of the restaurant as well as the hustle and bustle of the street traffic. I am not accustomed to the street barkers who work to get you in, but they were fun and not rude at all. I was told by our host who lives locally that this is common to most of the area restaurants. The bread was good, the house chianti was wonderful and our meals were very good, as well as being served without a long wait. The waiters, we had two, were charming and even took our picture as requested. We plan to return on our next visit to NYC!!

Keep walking don't stop here!
My family has eaten in Little Italy on a few occasions and are always excited about what FANTASTIC food we will enjoy. This was not the case on this trip. We were hot, hungry and tired when we started to pass Napoli and were relieved to have the "barker" seat us in a shady spot swiftly on a very busy afternoon. The visit went down hill from there. We waited over 15 minutes just to get a drink order and some water. We were the least of the waiters concern. When our food came the order was incorrect, my daughters Margarita Pizza had no basil! The food was plain without seasoning. I have had better italian food made by my 14 year old daughter. We were never checked on let alone offered more drinks. I even had to flag down another waiter just to get our waters refilled. My wife had to leave before the bill came as to not cause a scene on how poor this experience was at Napoli. Since my oldest daughter works a waitress while in college I am usually very generous in my tips however today was not the case. I tipped $1 on a $62 bill but left my "tips" on how to perform better in a note left on the bill with all the details of how poor our experience was today. Your best bet is to go across the street or keep walking past this one.

Check the prices of the Specials
My wife and I were looking to eat lunch outside on Mulberry St. We were brought in by a nice Italian guy wearing a hat and sat us down where we wanted, outside. We went to order from this host and I ordered Chicken Franchaise and my wife ordered an Eggplant over Pasta. The host tried to talk us both into specials and my wife decided to change for the chicken rollatini. Well one piece of chicked with spinich and cheese rolled into it, along with some pasta, my one piece of chicken franchaise came with some pasta and salad. When the bill came my wife fell off her chair. $30.00 for the special, and I can tell you it wasn't worth 12.95. MAKE SURE YOU ASK THE PRICE OF THE SPECIALS UP FRONT. We have lunch every year in Little Italy and it won't EVER be here again. I will also make sure I tell everyone on the streets in Little Italy to stay away from this place. 66.00 for lunch for two and included a bottle of Pelligrino. SHAME

mediocre food with subpar service
I am not picky, but seriously, it was the worst. Impossible to get the waiter's attention. Ordered seafood ravioli and received the wrong order. Looked around and saw a couple of other tables returning dishes as well. Had to wait another 15 minutes. 23 dollars for 5 pieces of over-peppered ravioli. Charged us over 20% in gratuity for a party of 3, probably thinking we were tourists. I asked the waiter and he said, "we make our money from tips not from the cows" and continued to make other remarks.

Poor service, price switch, cramped seating, 1-hour wait
Resturant staff members call out to passers by when seating becomes available. We heard a guy call out "table for 6 is open in downstairs party room". Our group decided to go in after a price was quoted for a specific meal. We entered the resturant and were seated a cramped corner on the street level. When the tables around us were filled we were basically trapped. Inorder for us to get up and go to the bathroom, the diners at the next two tables had to leave their table to open a walk-way for us. The waiter took our order. After twenty minutes and an inquiry, we receive our drinks. There was no ice and they were room temperature at best. From the time we entered the resturant and our food was served we waited a total of 50 minutes. We asked several times about our order. Each time we were told it will be right out. We told them we were dissatisfied with their service and the wait time and attempted to leave before our orders arrived, but were told we would have to pay $5.00 for the small basket of "FREE" bread we had eaten. We were billed higher than the price quoted. The price was not lowered when brought to managements attention. They got their tip though. It is added to your bill automatically.
