My daughter and I had the misfortune of finding this restaurant on our recent visit to NYC to see a show. We were seated next to the basement door where staff kept going in and out and making lots of noise doing so. Two pieces of cold bread were given to us (no bread basket was left) and with $14 salads we skipped them. After asking our server for entree recommendations, we placed our orders for a pasta dish with sausage and spinach and the chicken/pesto lasagna. The sausage was hard little pellets of meat in a boring sauce. The chicken bits in the lasagna were dry and there wasn't a drop of pesto to be found! We were disappointed and it cost me $60 for two subpar entrees and on my birthday yet!

Prepare yourself to be spoiled by all of your senses. You'll fall in love with the location, the people, most importantly the food, and especially the desserts. It's worth the trip, and in fact, I may have to plan another trip to the city, only to have a chance to dine there again. It's great to go there after a long day at the museums, shopping, or anything. For us, it was winding down after our wedding. It was great to be alone, and really taken care of. Just what we needed and we have yet to eat as well as we did that evening~!! If you really want to treat yourself to a wonderful romantic and quiet dinner this is the place to go.

Such a warm and inviting space. The food is great the service is amazing and I almost wish I lived on the Upper East Side just to go there more often.

Great food, fantastic ambiance in a beautiful townhouse. Try to sit upstairs. Great for lunch and dinner. A well-priced restaurant with good food and convenient location (right near the Met). I'll definitely go back!
