Caffe e Vino

Ate here post BAM, and thought it was great! If I lived in BK, I would frequent here more often. The wait staff was friendly and provided quality insight into the menu. The calamari, rigatoni, and desserts were the hilights of our meal. My only complaint is the seating was a bit tight. Definitely make a reservation.

Had dinner before theater last night. The tiny space was unpleasantly dark, noisy, & crowded. This is not Italian food prepared by Italians-even though the unctious staff with their Italian phrases & phony accents would want you to believe...Calamari & zucchini appetizer was bland, limp, & greasy-& why serve it on a bed of lettuce? Arugula salad was very nice-citrusy dressing. Pork "special" inedible-tough, bland pork w/odd taste & heavy gravy more @ home in a diner, served w/almost raw & oily spinach; eggplant/pasta returned- too heavily sauced, w/too many other things going on-olives, cheese, & replaced (w/no resistance from staff) w/pasta & plain tomato sauce of no distinction; a sloppy, too cheesy lasagne that was just okay. Nice wine, bread, & biscotti. We usually eat w/gusto, but not here. Very, very disappointing. PS - a little note tucked in with the bill requesting tips in cash....tacky, tacky.

I had noticed this little restaurant for some time but never ventured in. Well, one Saturday I did just that and I had the best meal that I have had in quite a while. From the moment we entered the space we were warmly greeted by the host and everyone after that was equally as warm and pleasant. I felt as though I was in a charming little restaurant in a charming little town somewhere in Italy. The food was amazing. I had the sea bass special - it was delicious! I have since been back twice and am planning on bringing 6 friends (one Italian women who is a great cook and connoisseur of fine dining) this Saturday and I can't wait for them to enjoy this dining experience with me.

Excellent Food while visiting Forte Green for a long weekend .I visited this restaurant .The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing .The wait staff was perfect .The food amazing.

This place is just really amazing.It's extremely reasonable for the quality. I 've yet to go Italy, but I've taken many people here who have been and they sais that their pasta is the best they've taste to authentic Italian . Every time I've beeb here, I've ordered a pasta dish.Also their bread is really good,it comes with this little tomato flam that is sooo good. Also you can get a really good bottle of wine Sunday 30% off .So worth it. One of the best place I've eaten since living in Brooklyn for 3 years.If u like spinach soufle they have the best and papardelle caffe e vino best cheescake.

Last Saturday my friend went to Caffe e Vino to dine, after she had a wonderful night she called me to say that is the best restaurant she had ever dined in. Four days later I went to see how good the restaurant was. It was fantastic. The place was small, homely and well designed, but the garden was the best, the view was magnificient, especially the fireflies. The staff was very nice, the owner came over to greet himself and would lead us into a nice conversation, while the waiters got the menus. I had great time and great food. I feel that every thing at Caffe E Vino was made with love and passion. I will go there all the time and trust me the price also was very right Best in Fort Green .
