Great Sunday afternoon lunch
We dropped in after wandering around the charming Brooklyn Heights and Promenade, tired and thirsty. I see some old service complaints but the current group is attentive and charming, without being overbearing. Food was very good, wine was excellent, and the espresso outstanding. All in all a great experience.

Great Italian Food!
I had been to Caffe Buon Gusto a couple of times before when I first moved to the area and it was a pleasant experience...However, I went with a friend recently for dinner and it was absolutely superb. I had the pan seared shrimp and scallops antipasti to start and it was perfectly done. For an entree we both had a lobster dish. I had the lobster with homemade black linguine fra diavolo ~ it was amazing! I especially appreciated the fact that when I asked to have the lobster taken out of the shell it was done without hesitation. My friend had the lobster linguine with pancetta in carbonara sauce. It was also a great choice. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. In addition, the sommelier gave us two great wine recommendations for each course. All in all, it was a great experience and I can't wait to go back! Enjoy!!

Very nice experience
We were new to the heights and were looking for a nice friendly place to eat and relax. The owner Nando was extremely friendly and courteous. All in all a very good find.

The food is "okay" meaning it's the definition of average. The service is terrible. The menu is boring.

Good food, gorgeous waitress
I have had brunch here a few times. The food is reasonably priced and the atmosphere is inviting when there are lots of people around. Not the best service in the world but definitely a great service to your eyes, thanks to this one gorgeous waitress who served us.

decent food, unpleasant wait staff
we live in the neighborhood, and ate here often at first because the food is good and we enjoyed eating outside in the summer. however, after one too many bad waitress experiences, our frequency slowed to almost a stop. their audacity is shocking - they won't even look your way unless they get bored standing around watching tv. once watched one run across the street to the bodega while we waited for her to bring us a check! at their prices they can't afford to have horrible service. wish the owner would just hire a whole new staff - not just skinny girls who don't want to earn tips.

I like this place.
The food is yummy. Not blow your mind, yummy....but definitely solid! Price is reasonable and good value. I had the pasta with shrimp. Yum! The staff is friendly, but a little slow.
