What a find
I live right in the area and fell in love with this place from first sight. Wonderful quiet date place or for a dinner where you want fabulous food and can enjoy hearing the conversation you're having with your dining partners. You can pick and choose pasta ingredients, great veal and chicken dishes and their specials are always tasty. Did I mention that prices make you consider that second bottle of wine and dessert? My AMEX was very pleased with me! Only catch -- the service can be spotty since it's a very 'mom and pop' type of place, but as long as you come in and are ready for a relaxing, tasty meal, you WILL NOT be disappointed.

Great first date!
My boyfriend brought me there for our first date and I knew I loved him. I could tell that he had syle and great taste! Any woman would be weak

Homey and deliciously traditional
Caffe Buon Gusto is the best Italian restaurant I've been to in Manhattan, hands down. Perfectly cooked pasta, fresh salads, tasty dessert, and a cozy atmosphere to boot. The waitstaff was too charming not to mention in a review. Stop on by at your next opportunity!

Wonderful restaurant: cozy, delicious
I use this restaurant for special occasions, since it's a little expensive, but it's got wonderful food, wonderful staff, and wonderful atmosphere. Can be a little noisy and tight on busy nights, but it's not as bad as most. Food is very authentic; everything we have eaten has been wonderful. Deserts (particularly the molten chocoalte cake) are to die for. Truly a wonderful dining experience. Make reservations on weekends in the evening.

Great italian cooking!
This place is really great...found it by surprise with a friend and it has been my Italian local. I eat here several times a month and have never been disappointed. It really is one of those places where you'd recommend anything on the menu.

FABULOUS with a twist
You may ask where the twist comes from, but i will tell you why...from the moment we arrived, the quaint ambiance of Caffe Buon Gusto captured our attention. Upon entering our excitement was distracted with a long wait, even though we made a reservation. We patiently waited outside. After about 20 minutes, with no service available, my strong handsome boyfriend, went inside to speak with the manager...after sifting through the idle walk-in crowd, he managed to explain to the manager once again our situation. From that point, the manager was extremely reseptive to our needs and actually offered us a bottle of wine which we politely declined. With a sudden sense of grounding, in this UES Caffe, we were now at ease and welcome. From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable, the food was delightful and the atmosphere was outstanding. We will definitely return.

Best romantic secret, yummy food
The food is great, everything I have there is perfect. I think the service is a little slow but they dont rush you and you can really enjoy your meal. Yummy food! Very small place with large portions. The owner is very nice and wants to please you.
