Caffe Buon Gusto

We go to this restaurant maybe once or twice a month and every time we go the experience has declined. The menu is all over the place and is overwhelming. We ordered the simple linguine and clam dish and the pasta was not fully cooked, it was crunchy and flavorless. We asked the manager to cancel the dish and he gave us an attitude. He was cold, arrogant, and made us want to leave (similar to the dish we received). He was more concerned with the table turnover rather than the happiness of their clientele. Our waitress was good and so was the service, unfortunately the quality of the hindered her performance. This place needs new management, a new menu, and a new chef. Then maybe it would be worth a try.

I went to Caffe Buon Gusto and had a great experience and a great meal. Recently I ordered delivery and it was subpar. I was told it would take 35 minutes. An hour and a half and several calls later, my food showed up. I called with the delivery man there and spoke with the manager. He did not seem to care that the food was cold and I had been waiting over an hour for delivery. He tried to give me a credit for next time and throwing a fit. I refused the credit as there will not be a next time. After the manager replied "fine don't order from here again" I refused to pay and received the meal for free. This was by far one of the poorest experiences I have had in New York.

Flew in from NC last night with my daughters. Ate at this restaurant based on these reviews because I'm tired at eating at overpriced marginal restaurants in this city. Service was excellent! We sat outside on a beautiful evening and the waitstaff was attentive and extremely friendly. Food superb. Not a bite left. I highly recommend.

The food is great here. They will customize your meal with a smile. Seafood soup, eggplant parm, seafood pasta, alla vodka sauce are all amazing. Delivery is fast and the food is hot. They have 2 outdoor spaces so if the weather is nice, head to Buon Gusto

I have been ordering in for over 20 years and finally I started to come into the restaurant and wow. The food is fantastic, which you know it has to be to keep a restaurant going in NYC for so long. The service is truly a gem. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. They welcome you in and the night turns into a lovely party. Even the other patrons are nice and it's like a huge dinner party. Bring friends and make new ones over a great Italian meal.

I am sad to say that I was a regular delivery customer but the quality of food has changed over the past few months. You used to be able to expect hot delicious food but the last couple of times I ordered I was serverly disappointed. Sometimes the portion was half full and the past 3 times the food was not even hot. This time I ordered gnocchi with vodka sauce only you find it was not even ok enough to eat. There was barely any sauce in room temperature pasta. The order came 20 min after I placed it. Seems they had the pasta lying around and added the sauce the was left over. There was not even enough sauce to coat the pasta if u tried stirring it. Even after I threw it in the microwave it was disappointing. I called and didn't get much concern from the manager. I don't what has changed maybe the management, maybe they are busier in the restaurant not judging my last couple of orders placed they don't seem to care about the quality of food that they send out. Which is a real shame because I just to love this place and it was always my go to dinner if I didn't have time to cook. But I would not suggest anyone to order from there unless they want basically room temperature leftovers for $15. I gave them almost 4 chances but it was beyond disappointing 4 turns in a row :( seems like it is time for me to move on

Charming neighborhood restaurant. Nice bread basket, wonderful presentation of salmon on spinach with a fresh tomato sauce base. Hubby has calamari with black linguini. Everything was fresh and delicious. Sunday and Monday half price botttles of wine. Definately will go back!
