Super Fun Place to Try
I have eaten at Cafeteria about 5 times, and each time I like it more than the last. The mac & cheese is a must try. It can be a little noisy, but the staff is very attentive and there is always fun music bumping in the background. Clean ambiance, and especially fun in the summer when the garage-like doors open up to seat guests outside. Great wine, and always a diversified crowd. Plus, it's open 24 hours!

A great place to get a bite to eat
I can always count on Cafetaria for delicious food at all hours. I love the mac and cheese and the green eggs (with pesto and goat cheese) and ham for brunch...it also serves a random but kickass fried chicken with waffles (2 great buttery treats on one plate) all day long... it's a simple, sleek and stylish restaurant. I never encounter any attitude here, the service is friendly and pretty fast. Be warned, though, It can be *very* loud at dinner time.

Below average food
Mac and cheese was watery underneath the baked cheese crust. Honey roasted turkey was extremely dry...but the cranberry sauce was pretty good. Fried chicken was eh..., turkey burger is very dense & not that great, the fish and chips were decent. Overall, it's a nice place to meet up with a few friends to catch up, but not a good place if you're looking for a good meal. I usually need to have a good meal as well so I wouldn't go back...

Wonderful experience
My family is from the south so I'm used to a certain kind of cooking. I was pleasantly surprised to find that kind of cooking at Cafeteria. The atmosphere is really laid back and cool. The waitstaff were very pleasant and attentive. I didn't have to wait for hours for one of them to notice that I needed something. My favorite plates were the country fried steak and the bbq'd beef short ribs. Excellent! Also, if your looking for a buzz, not a drunk, definitely try their coconut mojitos. As far as some reviews about Cafeteria being pretentious, I just don't see it. If anything, it's a place filled with people having a good time and eating great food.

Eh...OK food and value
I finally made it to the cafeteria for dinner last night on the recommendation of friends and co-workers who have been there. The atmosphere and ambiance was very nice indeed. The food and service is a different story though. They basically stuck me in a corner and never refilled my water or asked if I wanted another drink. I ordered the Mac and cheese as an appetizer, yummy indeed. For my entree I had the Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and garlic green beans. The meatloaf was nothing to write home about and the mashed potatoes were horrible. Flavorless and watered down. Tasted like boxed mashed potatoes. The cafeteria is nothing to write home about, definitely nice to try once for the atmosphere. Overrated at best!

Fun for lunch
Great drinks. Ask for drink menu and ask for specialty drinks. Steak salad is great. Bathroom isn't too clean, but there's always a lot of fun people there. Great for lunch dates.

Best Mac & Cheese Ever!
Food was excellent. One eyed Ceasar Salad - EXCELLENT! The Calamari was rubbery, but the dipping sauces that came with it - EXCELLENT. Coconut Martinis - Again EXCELLENT, but very expensive for such a small drink. The Mashed Potatoes and Mac and Cheese were simply to DIE FOR. Waitstaff, and Hosts were EXTREMEMLY FRIENDLY, happy, and enthusiastic about the menu, when I asked them to explain the different desserts. I'd definitely GO BACK. I love it there.
