Great experience unless delivered
I 've eaten here a few dozen times... always great! I've ordered from them three times... always a nightmare! I work at a bar, a big bar, with a very big sign. The delivery attempt was made twice, but they couldn't find it. I watched the guy stop in front and ride by on his bike 2 times. Finally, when a friend of the restaurant brought the food, the order was cold, screwed up, and items were missing. They wanted me to pay for it all... full price. I said no, so they had me give the food to their friend to bring back. No apology, no comp, no explanation. Bad business. Eating inside has always been great, however. Love their food. Haven't been back since last experience, but eventually I will.

Best Cuban in Manhattan
I've had Cuban food many times before, but until I had cafecito, I never REALLY had Cuban food. It is so fresh, so well prepared, reasonably priced and delivered on time. Order from anywhere on the menu and you will not be disappointed, this is one of those restaurants where you can take a chance on something new. It is so well prepared and so very fresh. The sauces are fragrant and very tasty. I reccommend the churasco, the cubano, the little burgers w/yuca fries w/mango ketchup on the side, & the sugar cane shrimp salad, but I would feel safe reccommending anything on the menu to a friend. This isn't just top Cuban food, this is one of the very best restaurants in the neighborhood (esp. with delivery!). I hadmixed feelings about writing this review, I kind of wanted to keep it all to myself, but when a restaurant is this good, you owe them a review.

Subpar Delivery
Cafecito serves some of the best Cuban food in New York, but if you want to actually eat it, you'd better go into the restaurant and get it yourself. When ordering delivery, the food always ALWAYS takes 30-45 minutes longer than they tell you. When the food does arrive, the order is routinely messed up. I've had them read my order back to me, I've told them about the mistakes they've made in the past, and I've given them countless second chances because the food is so good. But no more! I will never order delivery from Cafecito again.

Excellent!
Penelope's service gives the place a great atmosphere. The food was excellent, especially the flan for the dessert.

Best cuban food in manhattan
After searching all over manhattan for legit cuban food, i've finally found the real thing. The owner is from miami and knows good cuban food....also he's a great guy and made sure that we got attentive service even though the place was packed. This place has great food, a fun atmosphere, and is very well priced. definitely worth going out of your way to avenue C. Make sure to get a mojito!

Tiny place, best Cuban in NYC
Most authentic Cuban food in NYC by a ton. Tiny place, but cool atmosphere.

Great Food with friendly staff
This place is very delicious. They have great mojitos and sangria. The staff is friendly, but food does take a little bit of time, although it is worth it when it comes to your table. They don't take reservations so you will wait if you go at peak eating times. Worth a travel from uptown.
