I tried the salmon and kale for the first tonight. I was skeptical about the Dijon mustard sauce so I have them put it on the side. Wow I am pleasantly surprised with it all. I do with the sauce was slightly thicker and wish there was more kale but otherwise.... YUMMY

While it is definitely a step up from other restaurants based on atmosphere the food here is hit or miss. It is definitely trying to cater to clientele that is not familiar with Mexican food-- avoid the huevos rancheros at all costs... But the strictly americano fair is decent... They definitely need to step up there game when it comes to lunch and dinner fare! The selections are limited to burgers and pasta-- the chef/owner is Ovely and we have been hoping for him to be more creative with the menu as this type of restaurant is sorely needed!

Cafe Zona Sur represents a nice "step up" from lots of other restaurants in the neighborhood. Great brunch menu and fabulous coffee. Owners are lovely - worth a trip. I'll be a regular for sure.
