    Best Italian in NYC!

I looove this place! I would go there almost every night if I didn't live on the East Side. The food is consistently deelish and everything is vegetarian so its an easy pick for veggies like me. The people are nice-they are good to regular customers. The food is fresh, lots of veggies, the pasta is never over cooked and is perfectly seasoned-oh and ps the portions are HUGE! Also the prices are more than fair for the quality and the fact that they have so many speciality items aka everything is kosher and vegetarian, there are lots of vegan items plus whole wheat and gluten free choices. Vegetarian or not this place is great if you want a tasty, healthier slice or bowl of pasta.

    Great healthy food

This is by far one of the best establishments in the upper 90's. The pasta is my personal favorite, and I order it at least three or four times a week. They deliver fast, and they always give generous portions, which are so good, you finish before you realize it. Fresh all the time, because they have such a huge turnover, and they are always nice on the phone despite being so busy. Artichoke angel hair pasta is my favorite, with grilled eggplant, peppers, and zucchini, all topped with a generous dollop of melted soy cheese. Simply the best. And a great value. They have tremendous portions. Their pizzas are also great. And their salads are the best-- they mix it right there when you order.

    Simply Great Food

Cafe Viva is like home cooking. Delicious and fresh vegetables. Great whole wheat crust for Pizza and calzones. I have had occasional delivery hiccups but still order anyway since its so good.

    Zen indeed

I love this place! I had a slice of the zen pizza, and didn't realize that that wasn't the one I had actually been interested in. Tofu, petso, sundried tomatoes and mushroom didn't seem like a flavorful combo. But wow! It makes you think twice about traditional pizza, it was really really good, with whole roasted garlic sprinkled on top, and somehow it had that cheesiness to it, without any cheese, I'm definitely recommending this to my vegan friends.

    Aztec Pizza Fantaztec!

While harboring a NYer's disdain for any "nontraditional" pizza toppings (pineapple, bbq chicken - wtf???), I have to give propers to the delicious corn-crusted, roasted red pepper and cheese pie served up by these folks. Not greasy, with good textural combinations & fresh ingredients.

Don't feel bad about eating pizza

While regular pizza is often too greasy and leaves me feeling sick, this is never the case at Cafe Viva- especially their sicilian slice without cheese but with a delicious spicy tomato sauce. A great value, best as take out.
