No pizza crusts are gluten free at Cafe Viva!
@Dairy and Wheat Free - the cornmeal crusts are NOT GLUTEN FREE. Please cease eating them if you are celiac. When I saw that they had "wheat free" pizza, I went in and asked about ingredients. The cornmeal crusts contain SPELT, which is well tolerated by people allergic to wheat, but full of GLUTEN, so inappropriate for celiacs. Try their pasta instead. The sauces are delicious, and you can get them over rice pasta. My husband, who is not celiac, enjoyed their regular pasta. We ordered delivery, and service was very slow. But the food arrived hot and delicious

Amazing Wheat and Dairy free Pizza's
I've been going to Cafe Viva for a few years now and just recently tried their corn crust, now that I know I have a gluten allergy. It's amazing and I was shocked to find that it actually tastes better than a wheat crust! I can eat pizza and calzones now guilt-free, now, a it's really a godsend since I am usually relegated to walking the streets of Manhattan and pining for pizza on every corner. My bf and I are addicted to the spicy marinara. This is a place that's really set up as a takeout joint with some basic no frills seating but for good tasting pizza, calzones, and pasta made with good ingredients unusual it's hard to beat Viva. They also have unusual sodas (like China Cola). Have gotten their salads (OK) and vegan desserts as well. Yum!

Poor Service and Inedible Pizza
We decided to splurge on Sunday night pizza and gave the matter a lot of online research and thought to insure we would get the perfect pie. I remembered Viva from years ago as being good and healthier so we looked it up and chose the Pizza de la Nonna.... called and ordered and gave a credit card number which the guy repeated back to me. That was at 5:15 - at 6:30 we get the delivery, tip the guy and he asks for the rest of the money, no record of the card. We call Viva and they say yes, they have the card on file but hadn't charged it, did we want to? Uh... yeah, that was the whole point. So we open the box, mouths watering... the menupages menu says "Pizza De La Nonna thin square- fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, garlic, parmasan, basil & spicy sauce" What is inside the box is a 2 inch thick rectangle of dough, a small amount of cheese and sauce and at least a dozen cloves worth of chopped garlic. I love garlic, but this was insane, literally spit it out it was so bitter and gross. No basil anywhere on the pie and worst was the crust, it was burned on the edges and doughy in the center and most of all not THIN as advertised. I called once more to say I think this might not be our pizza (there was another number written on the box) and this time a woman answered and told me to get effed basically. So $30 thrown in the trash and hours to get subpar food. We ordered another pizza from Pete's which came in 20 minutes and will never order from Viva again.

cake
I think the delivery service is just fine. I have had a delay or two but usually it will take about 40-50 mins. Just order with that time window in mind and everything will work out. The cakes are great (and vegan).

No problem with delivery
Having read many reviews that commented on problems with delivery I was a bit concerned but Cafe Viva came through. I asked for a delivery of 5 pizzas between 7:15 and 7:30 and even though it was a tricky location (at a university), the delivery person was here at exactly 7:15. I couldn't ask for more. Best of all, the students seemed to really enjoy the pizza and given the range of options, kosher/hallal/vegan and wheat free students were all covered.

Great food - not service
The food is what keeps this store in business. The service is not great but once you've received your food you will be happy you had patience.

2 hours delivery!
Last night I received my pizza 2 hours after ordering it -and it was clearly reheated at least once! I called 4 times during those 2 hours and they gave as an excuse that they had too many orders. Well, if they don't hire more delivery guys, they will definitely will have less customers to worry about very soon. And in the meantime, they should give a heads up to people who order delivery during their "rush hour".
