    Not what I wanted

I had brunch on a Saturday and was not impressed. My eggs were not cooked enough, and nothing came with the food. Coffee was extra cash, and it was so weak, i had to order espresso to put in it. Toast was extra, and forget about juice. I found this place to skimp on the sides and be too expensive for the meal. I am not going here again for a meal.

    unimpressed

If you are looking for a good brunch steer clear of Cafe Shane. I ordered 2 eggs over medium with sausage and grits with coffee. My boyfriend went with the omelet. The coffee was so weak (I like it black) that I had to order a shot of espresso for it. My white food came on a white plate-unappetizing. The eggs were over easy at best. The sausage was good-but they only had to warm it up. The grits were good-i'll give them that. My boyfriends omelet came with maybe 4 pieces of homefries and a huge salad. And for the kick- toast does not come with the food- you have to buy it on the side. The bill came to $21 dollars, for two people. I'm sorry, but for that much money the coffee should be at least drinkable, and something should be served with the meal, like juice, toast, or at least the coffee. My roommate wanted me to bring her home a cup of coffee from the cafe- I got her one from the bodega across the street because even 50 cent coffee was better than the hot water cafe shane was serving.

    Excellent food and great service!

I had brunch last weekend at Cafe Shane. I ordered the Leo Omelet and it was wonderful. However the thing that stood out was the homefries! I tried to get them to give me the recipe but they keep it a secret... Overall, it was a great place to have brunch. The food was excellent, the coffee was good and strong. The only drawback was that I had to wait a few minutes for a free table, but they gave me hot apple cider while I waited.

    Good find!

Went to Cafe Shane because the line at a nearby place was way too long. The breakfast burrito was great and the prices are right. My friend had the eggs benedict and had no complaints but wasn't wowed. Still, it was good food at a good price which is always good. The atmosphere is great although the service was somewhat chaotic. Servers were out of sync with each other but that was the only drawback.
