Always Great
I have come here for lunch, afternoon drinks, and brunch. It's always exactly what I am looking for. Simple, yummy local food. The staff is laid back and friendly. The drinks are interesting and tasty. It's got a good vibe where folks feel comfortable relaxing over a drink or brunch.

fantastic steak
Dinner with friends. Had the steak which was beautifully cooked, in fact 4 out of 7 of us had the steak and was very impressed. Atmosphere was lively and interesting.

Don't do it.
By all means-go for a drink but skip the food! The schnitzel is dry and tasteless (and CHICKEN), the bratwurst and rosti also flavorless, and the cod a tiny piece with a few green beans for $16 (seriously). There is nothing authentic about the food, and there's also nothing good about it, sorry to say.

Best Brunch in SOHO
Who knew you could still get a full brunch for under $20 in this trendy neighborhood! I stopped by for girls and boys brunch last weekend and was so pleasantly suprised. Service is warm and friendly from the host to waitress who wears these adorable pastel colored button up dresses. We all had a pitcher of a rosemary lemonade and some bloody marys. We sat in the window seat for over an hour absorbing the sun and more bloody marys. The manager who sat to chat and told us about the corner park opening up soon and later sent us another group of drinks. I feel like part of the family now!

Why?
I have just read the reviews while considering trying this place. (I lived in Switzerland for many years..French & German parts). My question is: why would anyone want to eat here? The menu is boring. Not that the Swiss have interesting food, but the choices here are particularly unimaginative.

Small Portions Period
Classy joint with amiable wait staff in neat SHO location. Only problem is that you always leave hungry.

Spicy Bloodys and Elderflower
This is a great local spot with a cool casual vibe. I just can't get enough of the spicy bloody marys and the ski wasser elderflower drinks! Wish I lived closer to this place, I'd be a weekly regular. Highly recommend the baby roast chicken and the veal bratwurst with onions and rosti, both are tasty, juicy and saucy! Get the meringue kisses for dessert!
