    great pasta!

Cafe Rustico looks like your standard pizza joint (you wouldn't want to eat in unless you're just grabbing a slice) but their menu is so good. They have the best spaghetti bolognese that I've found in the city and the arugula salad is delicious. The only disappointment I've had from them were the garlic knotsthey were a little too crunchy.

    caprese and pasta are great

i order regularly from this place - caprese (comes with peppers too) is good- their balsamic dressing that comes with it is amazing (i always end up dipping bread into it afterwards). Their penne alla vodka is my guilty pleasure (i order it as capellini alla vodka) - and i always get extra vodka sauce. Their eggplant rolitini appetizer is also good ( i get extra tomato sauce with it). All in all its very reliable & easy comfort food. Been ordering in for years from here, dont care if its a pizzaria...its good. They do charge for extra sauce, which isnt the end of the world but it does add up... the vodka sauce is sooo worth it though.

    poor meal

the chicken parm hero i got from here the other day was inedible. the chicken was brown and as thin as cold cuts. i would never recommend this spot to anyone that wasn't an enemy.

What you need to know about this place

This is not a restaurant that you show up at expecting sit down service. It's a pizza place with tables in the back. Yeah, you can order food. As a restaurant, it's ideal if you are 15 years old and on a first date. Even then, you might be trying to impress your date. I can't comment on it as a place to order takeout. It's probably good for that.

    Yummy Food!

I love this place. The lobster ravioli, chicken parm, and chicken alfredo are my most favorite dishes. I have never eaten in the restaurant--only ordered takeout. Delivery is fast. I've since moved from the area and really miss this place. My boyfriend and I talk about how we wish they delivered to Downtown areas. They definitely have very tasty food for a good price!

    My favorite delivery Italian!

I've been ordering Rustico since moving to the neighborhood and have rarely missed a week of ordering from them at least once. I've liked every I've had on the menu but especially the chicken parm hero, orechette di bari and penne vodka. We have also had them cater parties and not only has the value been amazing but the food didn't suffer a bit.

    Not too Shabby...

Raised in Bensonhurst (BKLYN) where there is a Pizza place on every corner, I know good pizza. This place was pretty good. I had the Pizza Agusti & it tasted great. I would definitely go back & recommend you do the same. Next time, I'll try the pasta....they have quite a few on the menu that sound tasty.
