    Welcome to the neighborhood.

I am quite thrilled that Ronda has joined our neighborhood. I've now been in there many times and the food is consistently delicious. The food is fresh, the service is very friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. Enjoy!

    third time not a charm

i have been to this restaurant a few times and the food is fair. however, their take-out is bad. i have ordered from them 3 times over the last 6 months and each time the food arrived stone cold and after 1-2 hours. by the way, this is the first negative review that i have ever posted for anything... but i felt compelled because my experience was so bad and when i called the restaurent to complain, they were not particularly apologetic. i guess my only justification for subjecting myself to this place is that everyone makes mistakes... and apparently, they make more than their share.

    Ronda..Best kept secret

Well, finally a great place to eat decent tapas and great prices, very good wines and the paella is unique in the UWS. Try the mariscada and tabla de quesos please. Friendly and attentive service. Great and only place to eat baked eggs in the morning.

    Food heaven - Service hell

Visited Cafe Ronda for the first time for a mid-morning breakfast when cafe was not busy. Mozzarella and tomato omelette, potatoes, and multi-grain bread was made by angels in the kitchen. Presentation was lovely. Service staff, while clearly not busy, were desultory at best. So much for finding a restaurant to visit frequently in the neighborhood. Food didn't make up for staff's 'perfect 10' for rudeness.

    delicious!

Just came back from having dinner at Cafe Ronda and I'm still so full. The food was delicious and so different! I had the gambas ajillo to start, then the halibut with the orange sauce with basil mashed potatoes and for dessert, the panqueques de dulce de leche with vanilla ice cream on the side. A perfect meal. So incredibly delicious, can't wait to go again! The service was incredible! Our waitress refilled my glass of water at least 4 times, impressive when compared to other places I've been to lately. We didn't have to wait long to get our food and we felt very taken care of at Cafe Ronda. Only complaint? This is not really a complaint towards Cafe Ronda, more towards the extremely loud people sitting in the back of the restaurant. We couldn't even hear the music those people were so loud. Love the candles and how they dimmed the lights once it got dark out. Very romantic and the perfect place to celebrate our 3 year anniversary.

    Nice addition

I think Ronda is a nice addition to the upper west side. You can eat cheeply or more expensive depending on how you order. I like that. The drinks I find over priced though. The food is good. Somethings are great and some are just ok. Best chicken soup I have ever had. Service is good.

    The food is... not great?

The entrees did not meet my expectations. The appetizers weren not good (small) , but the service was great especially exceptional when you get the manager's personal suggestions. That somehow made it all worth while.
