Great place!
My boyfriend and I love this place. They are inexpensive, good food. The best in east village!! We always ordered from them and they have great services and fast delivery! Try this place out!

Great experience every time
I have placed several large orders for take out through cafe rakka and have yet to have a bad experience. The staff is so kind and accommodating. The food is warm and delivered on time. And it is always a great deal for us!

Amazing food & good value
My favorite place to eat on St. Mark's. I always get the falafel sandwich and hummus. It's always delicious and served to me very quickly and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is no frills, but certainly not as bad as say, a fast food establishment, and it's prefect for a quick bite while shopping, pre or post club. I found out they're open late after I breezed by at 2 AM, so now I know where to go when I want late-night food that's not pizza or a bagel.

Best Falafel you can find
I am from the middle of Connecticut, and I routinely travel all the way to NYC for the falafel at this place. Every time that I am in the city, I stop by cafe rakka. In fact, on more than one occasion a friend and I traveled to NY just for the falafel at cafe rakka. We had no other business to do in the city. Great place, keep up the good work!

Best falafel in the city
This is my favorite falafel place, and I've been going for years without disappointment. The people who work here are so friendly. I always get a falafel sandwich with fries, and it simply can't be beat. I don't mind the hole-in-the-wall atmosphere at all -- it's nice and cosy and not as hectic as some other falafel places. Highly recommended!

Not very good
After reading the good reviews, I picked up a falafel sandwich to go. The falafel was too salty and the hummus was very runny almost like tahini- and there was too much of it. Also too much lettuce. Cheap.

Great food and great service
I have ordered from here twice and its great! The gyros are amazing and so is the salad and hummus platter. The portions are big and the price is reasonable. Definetly the best mediteranean food in the area. Another plus is that the workers, especially the delivery man, are so friendly and nice which as many New Yorker's know isnt that common. You should definetly order from here if you love delicious mediteranean food!
