We ordered a juice...it came split between two coffee cups. I ordered a wrap...it was really disappointing. A kebab salad...inedible. 35 bucks down the toilet.

blown off
i know it was late, but i love this place. the regular man is out and the replacement is terrible. i ask if i could use a card and he said it would be a ten dollar minimum. i said no problem. after i ordered the first item he said that is only 4 dollars and i indicated that i would be ordering more. he only gave a look that i had interupted his cell phone call and anoyed him. at this point i decided he wasn't there to serve customers and only to indulge his phone call... wait till the regular guy get back. this one is terrible after is left he resumed his phone call on the street.

i was in a rut with ordering and wanted to get something kinda healthy w/out meat. took a risk and it paid off. good price, good portions, and AMAZING food.

Great and affordable middle eastern!
I order from this place all the time. I especially love the vegetarian platter! They give you a lot for $8.50. I almost always have leftovers.

Best Ethnic fast food in NYC!
I am now retired, but worked in walking distance to this little hidden treasure. Rakka was a definite stop during many lunchtime walks. I no longer live in NYC, but any occassion I am in the city I do stop for the Falafel. Some to eat during my drive home and extra to eat the next day. I also got my family hooked on their wonderful Falafel! Reading these reviews, I will bring a cooler our next trip into the city and order some of their other menu offerings that also sound yummy. Thru the years the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. I do hope this great and healthy food find will be around for many years. The young people who still go to the 'fast food 'meat' places... really need to learn about this healthy type of food! Hey, I'm Irish background, but love good, healthy and tasty food !! Cheers and long live Rakka !

Love at first sight
the best in the city, makes me feel like I'm back in the middle east. these egyptians know how to cook! My last meal on death row would be the mixed grill platter with the kafta!! I love you rakka.
