    Decent food poor service

We went for brunch. This is a very small resturant with few seats and any more than a 2 person party will a wait. With 4 people the hostess/waitress made us feel as if we were imposing. They offer a $12.95 brunch with all you can drink mimosa's. Brunch items were decent, well prepared but upon bringing the 2nd mimosa the waitress quickly started clearing the table without asking if we were done, which we were not.

    I Know It's A New Fall Menu,But.........

{1}The summer crab cakes were far superior to the fall crab croquettes. {2} The "Drunken Short Ribs" : two huges bones, with one side like fatty poker belly and the beef side was tough. {3} The "Coq au vin" : chicken pieces had a red 'tandoori' type outer layer and tasted more boiled than stewed. {4} The wait staff had an air of "annoyance". {5} The Spanish house white was superb.

    Not so great anymore

We were very happy with the old Cafe on Clinton and went there many, many times with friends and as a couple over the years. It was always a great choice for any reason with speicials every night. Then the old owner sold the restaurant, we gave it a try once and will never go back again. Too bad , food now is over priced and not all that great. Service is sub-par and as we were waiting for friends who wrer a little late, the waiter said if they did not come soon he would order for them (snotty tone) even though the restaurant was almost empty at 8:83 on a Saturday evening

    Restaurant Week - OK

We came here on Brooklyn Restaurant Week, and it was OK. The food was "nice," but nothing special. I would like to try again on another night.
