Good food
I went to Cafe Nana for the first time this week and their food was great! Please note that they have started their summer hours which are 10-4. My friend and I got there at 5 and the cashier was still there. He graciously let us order and the food was yummy!

Great find for a great price
This is an excellent restaurant where the food is fresh and relatively inexpensive. I highly recommend going there and my only regret is that I didn't discover this gem earlier.

For a Student Business it is good
For a student owned business it is good. The lemon-nana (lemonaid and mint) is inconsistent. Sometimes it is great, and other times terrible. But it is good overall.

It can be a bit awkward
If you're not a student, as the cafe is located in Columbia's Hillel. The food is good (except the pizza, skip that), and their French Onion Soup is terrific. Good value, but service can be slow, and the music choice is often a bit strange. Overall, I'd say go, especially since there isn't much else in the area.

great salads and sandwiches!
the salads are huge and so good! i also recommend the soup and any of the sandwiches! really cafe nana is a great deal and something that the columbia area needs. Prices are good for a kosher or non kosher cafe!

Great unique place
I'm so glad someone finally opened a warm and inviting kosher cafe by Columbia with a great ambience and tasty food and drinks! The sandwiches are yuuuummy and the salads big and delish as well. They even have shakshuka and malawach. For a chill time and good, inexpensive eats, I highly recommend Cafe Nana!

Like nothing else
I love going to Nana because it's really an experience like no other in NY. The atmosphere is great: their marrocan tents is the best and more comfy setting you'll find for large parties (number of people-speaking) in manhattan, and the lounge is always so quiet and relaxing (love spending an afternoon doing my homework there). The food is great too. A very eclectic choice of mediteranean dishes (love the burekas). The salads are extra fresh and sandwiched prepared to order. It was time for a place like this around columbia!
