I love Moroccan food and decided to try this place last Friday. Everything my hisband and I ordered was soooo good and very fresh. We ordered the bastilla, which wasn't too sweet, just pefect, and the chicken kabobs. they were super tender. The food wasn't heavy at all and perfect portions. We even ordered desert even though we were full, because they have a great desert menu. The waitress recommended the strawberry ruebarb thing and it was really good and nothing like i have ever had before. The food did take time to come out, but you know they had prepared it fresh, and it wasn't sitting around all day. It was worth the wait.

I've been to Mogador countless times and have always had delicious food an good service. This is the one place in NY where I can always count on to have amazing food, whenever. Their blueberry pancakes are of the true melt-in-your-mouth variety, their eggs always impeccable, and entrees absolutely yummy. Can't recommend this place enough.

I went here for a late dinner with a friend at around 10pm on a Saturday - the staff was wonderful and the restaurant has a great atmosphere, even that late. The restaurant was still half full when we left at around 11:30. Try a blood orange martini - they are fantastic. I had a chicken tagine made with apricots and prunes with cous cous and I will have to force myself to order something different next time it was so good. Amazing food, value and atmosphere. I would highly recommend Cafe Mogador to anyone!

I ate here last night for the millionth time with my boyfriend, and we love it so much, we finally declared it the best food in new york. the atmosphere is great, we've never waited for a table, the service is so friendly and accomodating, the food - amazing. i don't care what genre the food is classified in, it never falls short. and for such a great price, it tastes that much better. But the secret specialty to Mogador is its dessert menu. Everything is 6 dollars - try the flourless chocolate cake, the peach tart, or when they have it (if you're lucky) the amazing banana bread pudding. we like to substitute the vanilla ice cream with cinnamon - its that much better. all in all - the mixed grill is amazing, the steak juicy and tender, the israeli salad refreshing and delicious - i can't compliment this place enough. wash down all that delicious food with a blood orange martini or an ice cold glass of chimay. delish.

We called ahead on a Fri. night, got there around 8ish, and we were sat right away. It was a little "cozy", w/lots of parties very nearby, but the food and the service were so great, we didn't even care. TRY THE HUMMUS w/GREEN SAUCE PLATTER! Incredible! The falafel's awesome, and so is the pita; the couscous with chicken is also v. good.

tho it was still crowded with no signs of slowing down at midnight on a friday night, the atmosphere still gave a nice romantic feel. The grilled meats and the charmoulla tagine with chicken (with cous-cous) are both really great. The blood orange martinis . . . definitely worth the applaudes. like the other reviews here, yeah, the service is kinda slow, but i think it's the type of atmosphere where you would want to take your time and not rush yourself.
