Too Bad Everyone Knows How Great It Is!
Probably one of the best restaurants of any kind in the East Village, the food and service are both consistantly good. Amazing salads, hummus, tabouli, baba, falafel, tagines, appetizers, couscous, bastilla & a great brunch although it gets crowded... if you don't want to wait for a table I'd advise going for breakfast or lunch on a weekday when it is not so busy.

Sexy Date & Coxy
My favorite date place, sexy and cozy and the food is terrific. Get the Lamb Tagine with Apricots & Raisins.....the lamb practically falls off the bone and the rice soaks up the sauce, it's fantastic. Halumi cheese appetizer is also excellent. Nice wine, great atmosphere......some of my most romantic evenings have been in this well kept secret. What are you waiting for?

A relaxing dining experience
This is the place to go if you are in no hurry, and don't mind relaxing with friends for an intimate dinner....the food was very fresh and tasty, their dessert list alone can get me to come back again, and the atmosphere is one of the best I've ever experienced. The staff really lets you enjoy your food with no pressure to rush you out, and the prices are very affordable. Their nightly specials are really interesting and unique. Bottom line: it was excellent quality dining and I'd definitely go back for more!

One of my favorites
This is definitely one of my favorite places. The atmosphere is very sexy and relaxed (although it does get crowded on weekends), and the food is consistently wonderful. I've never had bad service or a disappointing experience. My one qualm is that the delivery hours are shorter than I'd like (but then again, I'm very much a night owl). It's a great date place!

Don't miss brunch
I had been to this cool St. Marks hangout for dinner many times, with mixed results. But a friend suggested brunch and after 2 visits I've found my new favorite venue! Order the eggs halumi, 2 poached eggs with grilled tomatoes and halumi cheese w/ pita on the side. I am hooked as you will be too. Our waitress was fun, friendly, and sexy as hell...an added bonus.

Please go!
I have been here twice and both times it has been excellent. I highly recommend getting any of the couscous or hummus dishes for dinner, mango sorbet for dessert and any of the port wines for an after-dinner drink. The atmosphere is very cozy, and if you sit in the front, a perfect place for people-watching. Both times there was a bit of a wait, but the hostess went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and got a good seat when available. It's one of my NYC favorites!
