I traditionally order the A9 appetizer (Ngar Phai Kyaw) and Rangoon Night Market Noodles. I have never been disappointed in the quality nor portion size. Then the speed of delivery when I'm over 14 blocks away is phenomenally fantastic: 30 minutes from calling to order until the delivery guy is at my doorstep. Of course it may be because I'm a big tipper but I've given similarly sized tips to restaurants 4 blocks away who've taken up to an hour to deliver and with bad attitudes to boot. I've also tried a couple of other dishes from their menu and they are pretty good but the above two dishes are my favorites.

Burmese turns out to use a little bit of all the best ingredients from Southeast Asia. Similiar flavors to the gingery, piquant flavors of thai food (not the americanized creamy coconut flavors); lots of Fish sauce (nouc cham) of Vietnam; and stir-fry noodle dishes like Cambodia rolled into one. Lots of great spots on this menu. Remarkable young ginger salad, very delicious curried chicken, very nice but safe noodles with beef and ginger sauce. Thought the fishcakes as good as most thai places. Rangoon noodles not really that special. We will definitely go back. Service by owners. 2 men. speak limited english. Service is tolerable. But awesome value.

We have loved this place and the people within for many years! The food is absolutely delicious and the wait staff is very familiar and kind! After moving to NJ, I am left dreaming about going back and having another fantastic experience!

They have great food that reminds me of my cousin's (my family is from Burma). So the food is authentic, and very delicious. I just wish they would fix the phone line or go on seamless so I could order delivery from this place :/

The food is addictive. This is my favorite place on the Upper East Side for lunch. Please check out this place. The night market noodles and the lemon chicken are two of my favorites. Plus the staff is great.

This restaurant is above average in all respects -- but above all else--the food is to die for. Try the Rangoon Night Market Noodles or the Mango Chicken. Keep the only Burmese restaurant in NYC alive and cookin'
