    Authentic Burmese

Hopefully this place never closes down since it is truly the only authentic burmese restaurant in nyc. Almost as good as a true burmese mom's home cooking. The food and value are phenomenal but owner should work in the decor and be more "burmese" to its burmese patrons.

    Outstanding !

My family and I spent our Christmas Day dinner feasting on and enjoying ourselves here. Excellent choice one that will not be forgotten !

    Excellent fresh far eastern food

We've been to this restaurant several times for lunch, each time we enjoyed both the service and the food. I highly recommend the Rice Salad, Golden Triangles, Arthi-Zon Hin & Lentils and Yellow Bean Rice. And for dessert: Mango Icecream. Can't say anything about meat or fish dishes since we have not tried any of them.

    Gem of a place

I only order delivery, but *everything* I've tried is fantastic.

    Curry with potatoes

Their lunch special is of great value - especially the pork/chicken/beef curry with potatoes. the same food for dinner (with a bigger portion) however may not be of great value. however the lunch special is of good value. the soup that comes with the lunch special is great too.

    I crave Burmese!

I miss living near this place. My roommate and I ate here at least twice a week. Now I take an hour commute train and bus to enjoy this great and interesting food!

I recently ordered from Mingala for the second time. I seem to have chosen better the first time, when I ordered a chicken curry dish. This time, I tried the Rangoon noodles, which were pretty plain with almost no duck but for a few pieces of fat), and the thousand layer bread, each bite of which probably had a thousand calories. The seafood dumpling soup, by contrast, was light and flavorful, and I would recommend it. The fried tofu appetizer looked more like sweet potato discs, but they were very tasty. The price point is great and I would definitely order from there again, but I'd probably steer clear of the carb-heavy options.
