Cafe Metro

This place is right by my office, and I get breakfast here frequently. The staff is friendly in the morning, and the quality of the food is decent. My complaint is with the salad bar. I tend to order a large romaine, and it seems the amount of lettuce they put in is totally arbitrary. They don't measure it. So I often end up paying for a "large" that could certainly have fit in a "small" container. My other issue is with the amount of ingredients they give you. When I'm paying for a topping, please give me an adequate amount! They literally put in about 4 cranberries, or 3 beans. It's insane, especially considering their salads are comparably priced to just about every other quick-serve salad place in the city where you get more normal sized portions of ingredients. I have basically stopped getting salad here, but was lazy today and went in. The guy also asked me to tell him when to stop as he poured in my dressing after I specified - not that much. He doused it. Fine enough breakfast/lunch/coffee place. Salad is an awful value!

Went there for a slice of cake and a cup of coffee. The red velvet cake was extremely dry. Service was also unpleasant. There are other places in NYC to eat at. Don't waste your time here.

nice clean place: but Service is lacking. Ask for a Large-get a medium. Coffee? not good at all! Bad enoughthat it's not good - but you ask for light - get dark. Expensive and not worth the $7 for a coffee and subpar oatmeal.. where's the flavor in that stuff? hoping for improvement

So I went for one of the make your own salads. Not only were three of the main ingredients I selected not available, the ones that were available were terribly unfresh. This was seriously the worst design your own salad place in the city. I've eaten at other ones and for some reason this one is not good
