Bottom line--the food and service are good, but the place is expensive and snobby. Try the Luxemburger and the parmesan french fries. Usually you can enjoy this kind of food in a relaxed atmosphere, But, this place has a snob appeal that we Westsiders normally leave to the Eastsiders. So, while the food and service are both good, don't go here to spend a relaxing time with friends. Dress up and hit the ATM before venturing in.

This is such a find...always consistent, my favorite place to eat. From the fabulous lighting, great food, to the unpretentious COOL atmosphere. This place does it all. Value for $$, you won't find anything better. The crowd is a mixture of biz w/ artsy...& across all age groups. My only complaint....seating can be a bit cramped & they don't serve past midnight! Other than this, it's a perfect 10....a true nyc restaurant w/ true nyers (let's keep it that way)!

This is a restaurant I come back to again and again; the food is consistant, reliable and often superb. Most of the waiters and staff - who have been there for years - are delightful. This place is always busy which should tell you all about the faithful clientele - and I have to salute the intelligence of the menu which offers a wide selection of bistro food at a pretty good price range. My friends and I are always dropping in for omlettes at 11:30PM or after theatre ice cream sundaes right before midnight and they couldn't be nicer. You can eat at the bar if there are no tables and the breakfast/brunch is great. Really, the best restaurant up here ....

My intimate family came in for the weekend. My family is insane and I was incredibly nervous for dinner. As soon as we walked into the door, everyone was absolutely wonderful and warm. We were seated right away and the busy yet fun atmosphere helped make things less awkward. The server was good and the food was excellent (i had the steak)! This dinner was the best I've had with my family in New York.

The food wasn't anything special, but the prices were very high. $12 for an aspargus and mushroom salad appetizer that had one asparagus, no mushrooms, and was drowning in dressing. Although I had a reservation, it was half an hour before I was seated in the dark restaurant practically on top of neighboring tables. The service was poor.

The food was quite good. I had the steak. My girlfriend had salmon. My main contention was the service. The waiter was, dare I say, snotty. He was brusque and impatient and made facial expressions of exasperation when we asked for more bread. We eventually had to ask another waitress to help us out. (She was great. Wish we we sat in a different section.) Overall, the experience was disappointing and not worth the money.

What a wonderful restaurant! The food was excellent for 4 of us and the service was attentive and caring. Only the loud noise level was a problem, but that would never keep us from returning to this excellent restaurant.
