Meal to fill the soul
I stumbled upon Cafe Los Arcos on my way to a bar--was on the hunt for mexican food and figured why not give it a shot. Walked into the space and noticed a MJ video -Thriller video on(thumbs up) Asked for a vegan burrito.. . came out in 10 minutes.. along side chips con guacamole. Burrito was excellent.. filled with veggies. rice & beans. Guacamole was excellent as well. Nice conversation with the people nearby. restroom was pleasantly clean. I recommend the space :)

Nice & sweet
The owners are wonderful and friendly. They make the best chicken a la Mexicana, if you like it more spice you can order jalapenos toreados (gril chiles). The grill elote (corn) with mayones, cream, lime and chile is delicious! The black frijoles are very good too, they are and taste homemade.

Love it.
Its pretty authentic, being a texas native. burritos are always great - but you do need to ask to add guac and pico inside.(sorry - this isnt chipotle). the service is great. the woman at the counter is cute. and this is probably one of the only two great mexican places in the neighborhood (15 block radius)...and that says alot!

Disappointed
Food wasn't even close to authentic mexican. Veggie burrito was too dry, just rice and beans in a burrito, no sour cream, no guacamole :( My husband ordered chicken enchiladas and said that they tasted like frozen enchiladas, heated and served.. Never going back..

Awesome food and value!
Great place for lunch or dinner. $5 lunch special is the best $5 you'll ever spend. The food not only tastes fresh, but feels fresh afterwards -- unlike many mexican or spanish places that have greasy food that might taste good, but feel like death afterwards. Along with the lunch special their regular dishes are great as well. Try the hard-shell pork tacos. Or the chicken quesadillas, dip them in sour cream and it's heaven. Good stuff, good stuff.

Tasty and cheap
Cafe Los Arcos isn't the best Mexican in Williamsburg, but they're quick and make some rockin' quesadillas. This place makes authentic, flavorful Mexican. It's best to order take-out from here because the place is really small, and the service isn't ideal for a sit-down-and-eat type of experience.
