There's no better place in the world for a nice dessert! The ambiance is the best in the city...i've been going to Cafe Lalo for years and i still think that there's no better place to come enjoy chocolate fondue and a glass of sautern. It's charming and warm and the servers are lovely and all seem so happy to be there! It's romantic and dreamy and being so close to the Loews Theatre on 84W, it's a good alternative to popcorn and a soda! We have a tradition me and my man, we go for a movie and then we come by Lalo for the cakes, and pies, and canolis and the fondue! Love you Cafe Lalo!

Really good desserts and coffee. Can get crowded and the tables are very close together. Charming atmosphere and makes a good relaxed evening out. Service could be improved.

"LaLa" because that is the best description of the service here--as if everyone is in la-la land. The food, just like the service, is mediocre at best.

The atmosphere is really fun, especially when it's packed at night and they're playing cool music. The food is OK; some of the desserts are good, and the presentation is lovely. But the service isn't so great. Some of the waitresses can be very rude and slow.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place for rich dessert. Every time I come to the city I make a trip up to Cafe Lalo, and despite the lack of elbow room, the food more than makes up for it. The servers are all cute young girls, and fairly attentive.

Very crowded, can't pay with credit... but the food is soo amazing. Everything is just... incredible! My favorite is the mixed fruit tarts and chocolate cannoli. Yum!

A bit pricy but well worth it. They have the best tiramisu in the city. If you're a fruit type of person, you will love their mixed fruit tart. But you gotta go early because it is sold out every single weekend! The only down side is the atmosphere, too loud and too crowded.
