The desserts are delicious but there are so many to choose from. the big problem is that the space is tight and very limited. So don't go there if you are acrrying lots of bags...there is absolutely no place to store them.

We had the chocolate lava cake and hazel nut strawbetty cheese cake. Both of these were excellent. We also ordered a glass of white wine, two milk shakes, and an italian sodaa. The drinks were not up to par and the shakes were not worth the price paid. Great place to take a group of 4 people or less.

The hardest part about coming to Cafe Lalo is making a selection. The menu is quite extensive with practically every choice appealing to my palate. My favorite thing of all time is their frozen yogurt with mixed berries. A must to try!

I used to go here every night for port and dessert. Even when the place is packed I get good service and the waiters never seem disappointed or unwilling to serve me if I'm alone. Anyway, this place is really great. If you don't want the crowd, breakfast is best. I love going there summer mornings to sit by the windows and read the paper. Try the zabaglione. You won't be disappointed!

I've passed this place many times and always noted that i should check it out. the lighted trees out front, chattering customers, breathtaking dessert display and colorful decor make Cafe Lalo very inviting. Well, I finally made it in with a few friends last night and the experience lived up to my high expectations. The waitress was lovely and the food delicious! If you can handle the tight space, then you'll adore this neighborhood cafe. Two thumbs up!

Some people... they expext everything should be like in the movies. I'm sure the person below took the "sex in the city" tour too. Anyway, Lalo is a great neighborhood cafe.

My chocolate carmel tart was made with Nestle chocolate at best! The frozen yogurt (which the waitress had said was so delicious) was typical soft serve at cafe' prices. The tables were so close patrons had to squeeze by! The music was blasting a la a cafe' in queens! To make a long story short, Cafe' Lalo was nothing like the way it was percieved in You've Got Mail!
