Just The Best
I have been eating at this wonderful neighborhood restaurant since it opened -seems 6 years or so. Not only is their food fresh and delicious but the family who owns and operates this place is terrific. I always receive a warm welcome whether I am phoning in an order or when I go in person. I have often brought food to pot luck dinners from Cafe Himilaya and everyone is very impressed with how good the food is. This place is a real favorite. OK so the atmosphere is very basic but the staff more than make up for it. Shimay (The Owner) and his entire staff are just the best.

Love at first bite!!!
Wow, I am amazed at this food. My friend and I had never sampled Tibetan or Nepalese before. We ordered the Avocado salad, Wonderful! We then had the pan fried chicken dumplings. Not what you're used too. They were great! The meat seemed to be covered in a yogurt based sauce. Next the veggies with basmati rice, the sauce really made the dish. We were unfammilar with the style of dining and were pleasantly surpised that the dishes are served to be shared. I can't wait to go back!!!

Know when to hold em
They are good for staples. Tikka masala, channa saag, and an eggplant dish we stumbled upon. Skip the mango lassi

Amazing
I can't get enough! Pan fried momos, avocado salad, number 30 with shrimp and rice pudding and I'm in heaven. Homemade chai tea and I'm over the moon. Thank you cafe Himalaya for incredible food that is so tasty even when delivered!

not a staple
After receiving no apology whatsoever for finding a something extra in our food, we were then very unfortunate to have ordered the rice pudding. Stirring left over basmati rice into some coconut milk is NOT rice pudding.
