yes. good food. I should rather say great food. However the service is not good. Hostess and waitresses with unkind and arrogant attitude can ruin your delicious corn and cuban sandwich. They do not seem to care who ordered first and what was ordered... Also it took me about 10 mins to get another coke...

The food is good but I've had better. The corn is great but not worth the wait to eat in the restaurant. If you can do takeout or order delivery then thats better. Besides, the restaurant is so small it has no real atmosphere but lots of hot people!

I don't know, but I must be missing something. I walked in with my kids and immediately became confused: no one came from behind the counter to seat us, after about three minutes (I'm pretty patient) I walked over to them and asked politely if we could have a table. Right off, there seemed to be some kind of weird communication problem, or misunderstanding, or maybe they were just all high. But, if they were high, they were more paranoid than laid back. After being seated, we didn't see anyone for about ten minutes. I stayed because I thought it was funny, and my kids had been asking me to take them there. I finally got the attention of some guy, and, about five minutes later, he came to take our order, although he didn't say anything - just looked at me. The food came and, well, whatever. It was good, but nothing I'd go back for. Maybe you have to be Cuban. Then, no one came around to clear the plates, dessert, etc. until I waved to them, ten minutes to get the check, even though the place is about 20X20. I'm a native New Yorker, but, in this place, I was treated like an alien (Mars).

Though the corn is delicious and drinks are decent, nearly everything else I've ordered has been bland, overcooked or otherwise slightly subpar. It's not terrible, but nor is it worth the expense or the wait. In particular, I caution against the mango salad, which comes with a tasteless, mayonnaise-like "raspberry vinagrette dressing."

I've been here three times (once was at the takeout place next door though). Of course as everyone mentions the grilled corn is excellent and never fails to please. The skirt steak was not that impressive and as another post mentioned a little bland - also a little more cooked that I would have liked and requested. The first time I was there I had the lemon chicken which was ok but nothing special. So far, it was the Cuban sandwich that I liked the most. Overall - the place is fun and gives you a real 'New York' feel since it's PACKED in there and models come and go... the service isn't the best but they try their best (they seem super busy). Generally there are groups of people loitering outside waiting for tables so if you're lucky (try an early dinner) there will be no wait.

I've been here a few times and the food is always very good. i LOVE the grilled corn, everyone must try it. i love the pork chop they have for dinner. i've tried breakfast once, and it wasn't that great or maybe it was the dish i had. service is a little slow. i waited a good fifteen minutes before even getting water on a hot day! the waitresses always seem busy and are a little unresponsive.

Been meaning to try this place for a while, because as everyone notes, the grilled corn is amazing. So, went last nite on a Wed. Arrive a bit after 6. Did not have to wait at all for a table, but the place was semi busy. Had the corn. Almost went to heaven. OMG it was so good! I like corn on the cob in general, but what makes this different is that they add cheese and spices to it...basically to me, it tasted like eating buttered popcorn covered corn. It was sooo delicious. Also had the grilled skirt steak--it was ok, but tasted kinda bland. My friend noted that it was not as bland the last time she had it so I guess thats a hit or miss. Mango margarita was good and the service was decent--no complaints at all. However it was rather muggy and hot and so we were sweating in there...small place, not sure the AC was really on cuz all the windows and doors were open as well. Would def go back for the corn, and try other dishes on the menu!
