    Short of Table Help

They need better table service or hire more help because the waitress was running around the tables and seating customers coming in that she forgot to get water for us until the end of the meal. It was hard to get her attention to get extra plates or to clear off the empty dishes (and the tables here are very small). There was an 18% tip added to the bill. The small place was crowded elbow to elbow so it's not good for a party larger than 4. Corn on the cob was delicious. You get two (2) cobs per order. Ask for chili powder on the side so you can add it on the corn to your liking. The sandwich hero bread was nice and soft for the sandwiches and the french fries were very good also. Mexican Hot Chocolate was very good with a spicy kick to it. Perhaps next time I'll try their take-out place around the corner...there's a couple of seats there where you can sit and eat.

    Don't bother with delivery

Just ordered from this place today after ignoring them for awhile because of their last poor showing. What a mistake. After waiting 45 minutes (which I expected for a place that claims to "make our food to order") our food arrived lukewarm, and in a complete mess in the bag (apparently the brilliant minds here think putting glass coke bottles on TOP of all your food is a stable configuration for a careless bike delivery). My "Chicken Mole" looked like dog food and tasted even drier. The red beans I ordered somehow became black beans through the power of idiocy. Even the famous corn was cold. Pass.

Incredible corn on the cob and mahi mahi!

The hype is true- the corn on the cob is amazing! The mahi mahi special I had was really good too. The service was friendly, but be prepared to wait a little bit for a table. Go for celebrity sightings too- when I went, I was seated two tables away from Blake Lively and Penn Badgely!

You gotta try the Corn on the Cob!!

I was born in Cuba and by no means is the food that they serve here remotely close to an authentic Cuban dish! So if thats what you're looking for take the bridge and head over to Jersey. Any corner restaurant in Union City will sufice. Otherwise enjoy this quirky shoebox of a place with a line going around the place for what it is. The waitresses look like they just came from the coachella music festival and punched in and expect to be squeezed into a tiny spot with no elbow room to eat. However I can't deny that I am addicted to the tostones with the garlic dipping sauce and the corn on the cob. The cuban sandwich though not authentic is my favorite here. The place is cute, cramped, and either really hot in the summer time or really cold in the winter time. Nonetheless I always return when I get the cravings.

The corn, rice and creamy garlic salad dressing are delic! The prices are very reasonable and the service was great.
