Great place for take out
Walked in off the street one day. It is wonderful here. The first time I went in the woman behind the counter recommended the fish sandwich which I still get. The corn is fantastic and I take all my visitors to NY here. Most defiantly worth a visit!

Some dishes are goods, others not
I've been here a few times, and to summarize: some items are good and others are not. Corn is great! Cuban Sandwich, Chicken Sandwiches and some burritos are good. Fish sandwich and tacos were very greasy and not appealing. Catfish not the right fish, too fishy. A different fish like cod or sea bass, might have improved the flavor. Yellow rice could be better. Black beans are ok. Chicken cutlet w/ garlic and spinach has been inconsistent, sometime fairly good, other times greasy and bland. I'd say go for the yummy corn and a torta or burrito or cuban sandwich. Food can be inconsistent.

Great Cuban
The cuban sandwich is delicious and of course the corn. The space is small though and I always find myself getting knocked in the head by waiters passing through the aisles.

Good Food & Drinks!
The place is way too crammed when the queue gets out of line. They are way understaffed but it's great that it stays opened till midnight.

Short of Table Help
They need better table service or hire more help because the waitress was running around the tables and seating customers coming in that she forgot to get water for us until the end of the meal. It was hard to get her attention to get extra plates or to clear off the empty dishes (and the tables here are very small). There was an 18% tip added to the bill. The small place was crowded elbow to elbow so it's not good for a party larger than 4. Corn on the cob was delicious. You get two (2) cobs per order. Ask for chili powder on the side so you can add it on the corn to your liking. The sandwich hero bread was nice and soft for the sandwiches and the french fries were very good also. Mexican Hot Chocolate was very good with a spicy kick to it. Perhaps next time I'll try their take-out place around the corner...there's a couple of seats there where you can sit and eat.

Don't bother with delivery
Just ordered from this place today after ignoring them for awhile because of their last poor showing. What a mistake. After waiting 45 minutes (which I expected for a place that claims to "make our food to order") our food arrived lukewarm, and in a complete mess in the bag (apparently the brilliant minds here think putting glass coke bottles on TOP of all your food is a stable configuration for a careless bike delivery). My "Chicken Mole" looked like dog food and tasted even drier. The red beans I ordered somehow became black beans through the power of idiocy. Even the famous corn was cold. Pass.
